sorry little bit fishy my reference to astatotilapia moorii was about some hybrids i have can you get clearer pics of the fish we can tell you what species the fish look like but can't guarantee that that is definitely what they are as so many rift lakes fish can interbreed quite freely

copper sulphate can kill crustaceans

they are african cichlids of various types and some of possibly mixed parentage though one looks like my astatotilapia moorii, another like my fryeri, then a blue zebra and a peach or red zebra

had reports of 3 others of a similar age doing the same recently one was too hot another too cold, the other came right with enticement of live food maybe natural as well

they have probably been eating sparrows that come down for a drink
