buried my 15,000 l coldwater marine setup .5 m in ground, never got over 16c all year
750 l set up used a 2 200l barrels inground to .5m never got over 18c
used a slower flow on sump pump than normal
yes they can be kept but you need to start with a very small one
the bigger they are the more they don't like being caged in a small environment like a tank and i believe they become suicidal
whereas small ones are used to hiding to avoid predators
good water conditions are essential and a chiller during summer
Tank is 120l x 50w x 60h
have set up alongside the rock pool
have 2 outlets one loops to sump other empties in to the pool
2 pumps to return water one in sump one in pool
switch between them every 2nd day to help cycle
will transfer live rock to sump shortly
tank is a good height to breed tropical seahorses in :smln:
