    Introduction

welcome where are you going to study?
  3. do these come with attachments?
  4. yes it looks like a juvie black flounder are they on dark or light substrate do you have plenty of live food?
  5. another excellent job love the ramshorn snails
  6. this next build i am doing have been thinking of using 3 drains at water level then using large plastic guttering width of tank to create an overflow box onto the fittings 200 litre barrel to house skimmer and socks and then 1,000 litr rockpool for sump using 20mm acrylic for front pane
  7. that seems to be the general consensus
  8. standard like glass just use longer threads on pipe work do 2 or 3 to reduce flow on each or put mesh cage on them
  9. no you don't but it adds strength to it i used 15mm ply then 1 coatof resin allowed to soak in, then mesh and 2 more coats any rocks can chip coat if handled roughly
  10. this is the stuff i used on 3,000ltr http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/boats-m ... 815843.htm
  11. resin is available on TM all the time you will need at least 4 litres and woven matting as well
  12. :slfg: i currently have reef in the 1.5 x 1m tank and getting to the back is an issue i have 3 pairs of clowns in 2 tanks at the moment but want to house all together could get rid of the pair of maroons as they are the stroppiest but i have had them for a few years now the other tanks will house invertebrates, seahorses, fish and anemones etc. need a bad boys tank as well so maybe the 1300ltr for them only have 1 overflow out of this tank so will add 2 more overflows in a herbie style system methinks
  13. which one to do the reef in rest are going to be coldies 2.1m x 1m x 65cm 2.4m x 60cm x 60cm 1.5 x 1m x 65cm 1.8 x .6 x.6 have enough tropical bits to fill any of them
  14. i have used raw sea salt with local marine FOWLR, 15000ltr as it was cheapest option only prob was phosphates, they clean it as best they can wouldn't use it on a reef tank though in the extraction process it loses some of the trace elements
  15. the OP hasn't been back on since they signed on
  16. if you are found to have reptiles on you at the airport then you will be locked up hence the comment
  17. not there, just running marines at the moment new venture :happy2:
  18. usually see this from poor water quality at time of moulting
  19. sorry can't help, but could show you the place where my tanks are now or point you in the right direction there is a couple of streams in town that may still be good
