But the growth wouldn't be as good compared to if you where using ferts and a form of carbon My 38L puffer tank gets no fert or carbon and i grow java fern and have xmas moss coming out of my ears(11w of light haha)

Plastic bin 50L - $10 Heater - Got given it with a turtle tank($40) Internal filter - Given it once again ($40) Lighting- THE SUN!!! So thats $10 for 50L....no joke 300L could be done for around $300-400

I had one for about a year. They use cheap nuts and bolts on the lid and they jam up! Wouldnt pay more than $400 new for one

Do it like this Gravel -------- Sand -------- Daltons The sand holds in the daltons. Daltons will make a mess of your tank if disturbed. It has high silica(?) as causes brown algae i think
