Why does everyone loke putting Arowanas in undersized tanks!

What other fish is he in with? It looks like hes just been nipped and is growing his fins back(the fins arent colourful as soon as they grow back)

The swelling of the stand would be a good reason for the tank to break

Nice Without the 1 S. fryeri and 1 bala shark it would make a even better south american tank You should also try get some more G. surinamensis, they look great in groups

Corys like it on the acidic side It sounds just like our problem we had a while ago, Our substrate was too sharp.

Well, i have never heard of a japanese figherfish, but a Siamese Fighter fish would be ok with those fish, Except with male guppies with colour/big tails.

They probably also arent as hardy as mosquito fish either
