Do you know what the plants were? If they were stem plants, as in the plants that are normally weighted down in the tank and cheap compared to the likes of val then they were most likely grown emmersed and would have to convert to the submersed form. Some can do it, some can not. Most plants will get algae on them unless they grow so fast they can out compete it.

Just a reminder that club capitations are now due. : :happy2: While the deadline is 17 July I would really appreciate clubs sending them in earlier, as if too many arrive on that date there will be a delay in processing. Would you also note that if you direct credit please do so a few days earlier as it can take two days to show and if a cheque is mailed please allow time for postal delivery and a 5 day clearance time before the 17th. Clubs have also been sent their $25 levy invoices. The due date for these is 20 July. Thanks everyone

I would put them on the side where they can get right under the current - they love to swim in a real gush of water and I found if I water changed and left the water level low enough so it was like a waterfall my sterbai spawned more often.

Bristlenose can not be pregnant - it means fertilisation of offspring within the body. Bristlenose have eggs which are fertilised outside the body. Certainly she could be full of eggs.

No 1 will give a better spread of fish throughout the tank but I think the stocking level will be too heavy for that size. No 2 has a lot of bottom lower level fish (heavy lower level stocking) and 20 tiger barbs won't give a lot of action further up.
