What plants are you thinking other tyhan the ones you have already? 40 watts should be fine for low- light plants of plants- Java ferns, Java moss, Anubias etc. I am currently planting out a 300 L tank with just 40W of lighting and it is 60 deep. Glosso and Riccia will need highter light though/

should be fine as the chlorine would instantly be diluted when you put it into your tank.

Doesn't matter as much in a marine tank about getting rid of good bacteria Alan, Mechanical filtration isn't such a big deal (As long as you have a decent skimmer). Filter wool comes in big bales if you want to get more. Not sure where from. Micron filter bags are another idea. Attached to the overflow

I think I will try it aye. Thanks Alistair. BTW all the corals you gave me are doing well. That small blue/green acro frag you gave me has not really coloured up really so I have moved it slightly higher to see how it goes. The pink cats-paw coral browned out a bit but is now bright pink- Awesome!

Is it the TLC Marine SAT in the red bottle? quite cheap aye. Might talk to Michael at PetPlanet. Quite cheap and looks like only one part- unlike the other brands which have lots of different parts

what size is the tank? (Front to back and deep). I might have some spare 6mm perspex lying round I'll chop to shape if you want it...

I didn't know TLC did a bacteria range? Do you know who sells them Wasp? I have been wanting to start Zeovit but I feed heavily...
