  8. u can get the nutrafin CO2 systems which are glorified yeast ones. I think lighting is more important
  9. I have red ramshorns in all my tanks and they dont touch the plants. did they eat anything other than indian fern?
  10. mine eat anything that hits the bottom. Recently found out they like corn - de husked frozen bits. :lol:
  11. I have had no problems with mine. They are lovely. Im hoping ill get round to breeding mine soon.
  12. it also depends a lot on the fish. We have had really agro ones that didnt even like swordtails but not i have a boy who is in with 4 girls as well as other fish and he is as passive as can be.

  14. Yeah I have been trying to find cheap lights. Where do you get t5s. How much? I will get some ferts. Little bit of brown algae around.
  15. 200ish litre tank, 50cm high, 2 4ft lights, pretty sure water is fine. probably not enough ferts. Have been cutting just under the joints. Most of the ambulia has gone slimy, sort of melted?
  16. I would have loved a siphon thingee but all our taps are old and dond have the screw on bits
  17. Hey guys Does anyone know why some of my plants are rotting rather than rooting? Mainly ambulia and hygro. Using propagating sand for a substrate. I was wondering why they were all floating up, had a look and instead of rooting they have just rotted. Any help is is much appreciated. Thanks

  24. Hey guys! I am wanting to get more lighting for my 2 tanks (4ft and 100cm) I need to do it on the cheap.
