hey, i didnt use any plants because they used the uplift tube for the undergravel filter to build a nest against, so im assuming that if they have nothing to build a nest against then they may need plants?
i would turn the air pump off.
my brineshrimp tank is painted black except for a small square on one of the sides, which i have a light shining thru from a lamp, and they get attracted to the light and when they have all bunched up there i siphon them all out with a airline hose thru a hankie and rinse the hankie in about half a cup of tank water and use a syringe to distribute them to the tanks.
my new african tank, i know cichlids and plants dont mix well, but i really like the look of real plants.
my tank is 4ft, pH 7.5-8, temp 25.
Any ideas? im thinking val, swords, anubias etc.
any info would be greatly appreciated!
just wondering if anybody knows a good site for aquatic plant profiles? i tried google but couldnt come up with much. i want to look at babies tears, hygrophilia, mexican oakleaf, timulas etc..
Thanks
Sorry Bill for getting my heckles up but it just bums me out that most petshops and their staff have a bad rep, i think ppl should have to have quals to sell live animals or stuff for live animals.
As for the weekend staff, they know nothing at all! its not their fault tho, its the owners/managers for not getting them the training they so desperately need. they quite often ring me in the weekends to answer their customers curly questions via the phone, which does please me.
I try to keep the fulltime staff up to date on whats new, what special needs they have etc.
Sometimes its a lost cause tho coz they dont seem to care as much as i do
Sharn- yeah i took over from that girl, she had no clue ... she thought whitespot was a tropical disease and thought if the goldfish got it, it was fungus so treated it with melafix.
You should come in sometime and put a poster up or something, if customers come in and ask me a question i dont know the answer to i give them this website addy and get them to ask u guys! so a poster would be real handy!
Ive been quite aware of how large pacus get for quite sometime! Animates still sells them regardless of who buys them and how big their tank is.
didnt really know where to post this.........but i wondering if any of the people out there who ship fish reguarly put pure oxygen, blow into, or just simply tie the bags shut before they ship?
ive got a rummy nose tetra with white worms 'busting' out of it, what is this? the fish is also very fat. the worms are quite curly.
Also the drontal tabs.......cat or dog?
