I wouldnt mind keeping them. I have brineshrimp i can feed them on. Will she spit them out if i put her in her own tank?

I ve never seen a fish "holding" before this so i dont know how to tell how many she has in there but by the looks im thinking not many.....so ill just leave her, unless she holds for the 2 weeks then ill review the situation i guess

I have an electric blue holding, and because she is holding she is not eating. shes in a 240L african tank, is it worth catching her and putting her in her own tank? Or do i catch her pop her babies out of her mouth and put her back in the african tank? Or do i just leave her be? Also please note i work in a pet shop and she is for sale, so i dont want to massively stress her out or for her to lose condition by not eating.

well i tried cucumber this morning and they all thought it was some sort of alien invasion in their tank, but wen i came back an hour later they were hard out munching into it. was eyeing up the celery but wasnt sure if this was safe? do u need to thaw and shell the peas? wicked ill give silverbeet a go next

well now i have a badi badis that cant shut its mouth! its in a different tank tho. A stone is possible, anything is possible!

hey Ira Sorry my puffers arent the freshwater ones. they are the green spotted puffers. havent been able to source any freshwater ones. Which contact details were u after?

I ordered in some small ramshorns, but only a few were actually small enough and the rest they just sucked the snails out of the shells. was pretty yuck to watch! the snails bled!! but they loved the snails anyway.

well wat about the crunchy stuff they need to eat for their teeth? where would i get that from?

i have them in the shop i work at, not sure where u can get them in chch but we retail them at $29.90ea. mite give u an indication of wat u mite pay anyway.

yeah we have 240L tanks i could use. i feed them frozen marine green mix mostly. i put a couple little snails in the tank dunno if they will eat them tho. where do u get the mussels and scollops from? are they frozen or fresh?

yes the tank was cycled, its 84L (too small i know but i can upgrade later on) , the filter is a cannister which is also cycled. They were acclimated to 1.010 by me, they love frozen bloodworms, is this ok? should i pull some snails out of the other tanks for them to munch?

well they seemed happy enough wen i left them tonight at work.....but im not sure wat they were in at the suppliers. they are maybe about 5-6cm. they remind me of little mini whales lol wat do u feed urs?

ok they managed to prise open the axies mouth and get the marble out so all is well! they have also removed all gravel and marbles from the tank!! thanks for all ya help guys

the sg is 1.010. is this enough? what should the sg be? haha thanks hopefully they will continue to be ok and i will take photos of them and their tank within the next week.

ok i couldnt get hold of the supplier but i floated them ages etc and they seem happy enough, they make me LOL they are so damn cool.

I am the LFS but im not sure if any other lfs around here would know either? anyway sharn ill give her a call too see if shes willing to attempt to get the marble out herself, she seemed to wanna bring it into the shop and get me 2 do something about it! if she wants to bring it in can i organise with u sharn to come in and asisst?

Ok right I have a customer who has a 600L tank with a cannister filter on it. he does 25% water changes on it weekly. Now in this tank he has 2 approx 20cm oscars and 2 approx 20cm pacus and one syndontis. The oscar has like almost bite mark looking holes on its his head. is this hole in the head? One pacu quite often gets a white film over one eye (always same eye and same pacu) and it sometimes gets fluffy, im assuming this is a fungus? How do ya treat these? thanks

I have a customer who rang in and her axolotyl has got a marble stuck in its mouth, has been there for a week and it hasnt eaten anything since then. I have told her to get the rest of the gravel and anything in the tank it can fit in its mouth out quicksmart. How can she get the marble out of it mouth???

ok i know she has a piece of driftwood in the tank, ill ask her about wat shes feeding them, and the type of subtrate shes using.
