    MMF

Maybe she was lucky to have two Julian McMahon fish versions.. *drool* (they two pretty handsome fish) I am afraid if there were two of them (Julians), one wouldn't be able to choose.. She might be a ho, but shes a lucky one
  6. They are nice fish aye, I'm more inclined to think its the BGK, my Choc Talking is a big boy.. but feel he can't ever do anything wrong, he's a mummies boy
  7. I have only just got the Black Ghost Knife (housing him till he finds a home). I used to have one ages ago, had him for a lengthy time. This BGK is very well fed, very healthy and a nice size. He is eating well each night, blood worms and a mix... so think it's more a case of greed than starvation   There is nothing else small enough in the tank to be consumed.. so I am not panicked.. just seems like he wanted an extra couple of scooby snacks.. And no chance of the Mads jumping out, they are in a 5ft Aqua One tank.. totally sealed off. Or should I say were in there
  8. That set up looks really nice TimTam, and plants look really healthy.. And gotta love the Kribs pink bellies
  9. Have gone missing They were in the tank 2 days ago, and I am now sussing out who the culprit is... Black Ghost Knife (who I am currently looking after till he finds a home).. OR My big Chocolate Talking Cat.... :-? The Black Ghost Knife looks rather round.... however, I am yet to check out the Choc Talking Cats belly when I feed out before bed, all I can see of him at them moment is his whiskers sticking out of his cubby hole
  10. Umm we have 5 Display tanks in our house... 1 8fter, 1 6fter and a 5fter, 4fter and a 300 litre corner tank And our spare room is currently decked out for our Blue Tongue Skinks and different species of fish we have bred and are raising up (so that means more tanks) (Only because the fish room isn't ready!!!) We house mostly African species, we have Frontosa x 19 (at the moment).. 9 Julidochromis transcriptus.. 6 Julidochromis marleri... 6 Altolamprologus Compressiceps... Lamp Brichardi and list goes on.. Then Malawi, I won't go there much, would take forever  we have Demasoni, Range of different peacocks, (Royal Blues, Yellows Peacock, Marleri Red, Dragon Blood) Melanochromis johanni, Electric Yellows, Malawi Eye Biter.. And of course one of our displays is a planted tank, with whiptails, corys, Dumerilli Angels, and fancy little plecs.\\ Then the 5fter is our Geo tank, Jurupari and Surinamensis, with Chocolate Talking Catfish and Hoplo and a few more fancy plecs. Thats about it at the moment.. dying for the fish shed when ready, to swallow up all tanks barring the display tanks   Major case of MTS
  11. Oh except nowhere near as coloured yet, as still young, so should be interesting to see coloured up in the flesh! (he is getting there tho, the flash of colour he is displaying is just beautiful)
  12. Sounds like it! Here is a pic I found of the Dragon Bloods.. my dominant male is already colouring up like this big guy...
  13. Definately 8) My hubby ordered 10 in for me as soon as they were on the list, picked them up as soon as they reached the shop floor (still bagged) and we have the dominant male in with 5 females in a whole tank of their own.. nothing worse than mixing Peacocks, the only Peacocks we have mixed are males only and in the display tank for display purpose. The breeders are another story.
  14. And the particular supplier who has them, doesn't supply the Sci names.. so yeah hmmm :-?
  15. They are new into the country it seems... haven't found too much on them on the internet, only a big Aquatic place in the UK seems to have anything on them... So hoping to get some feed back on them... They are a very nice fish all the same
  16. That is very sad My thoughts are with Peter and his family (even tho I never had the opportunity to meet them)
  17. Yeah the other on the list are Dragon Blood Peacocks, really nice fish to! Rudolph happened to bring me some for xmas and birthday
  18. Yeah I love the Gold Heads, I already had one from the stock that got brought in last time.. so was rapt really that these ones were the same.
  19. After looking around the net I found the odd bit of info on the Garra's, they are a West African Algae Eater.. (not sure on the bumblebee striped species, but other Garra's get to around the 6cm mark) Hope this is of some help
  20. We purchased some of the Neo Trets (nice condition to) however, had to make a decision as the fish room is a little way off, so have since sold them... Also got some more Comps, ONLY they don't look like Red Fins.. they look like young Gold Heads.. the last lot that were brought in were listed as Red Fins aswell but happened to be Gold Heads.. Another person on the forum got some of the latest Comps and has said the same thing. Great to see some more Tanganyikan's available
  21. Yeah they are gorgeous little critters.. look like a algae eater, only striped
  22. We have Jebo along with other brands, and the Jebo have run well enough We have 815 and 819... would definately consider buying another if we needed another external.
  23. And the problem with some places is, when they get the peacocks in from the suppliers, some shops have mixed them!! So it's impossible to know what females are belonging to what! Arrrrgggh   That's why I prefer to order them in and collect them bagged OR buy from a shop who is set on keeping them in seperate tanks.

We have a 6ft Malawi set up right at the end of our bed , and we conditioned ourselves to any sort of noise  We have found the Aqua Ones pretty quiet, and we recently got 2 monster 2400 Aqua Ones for our big tank in the lounge, and they are amazingly quiet... no disturbed DVD watching
