  1. I prefer to catch mine like antwan, when they are in a hidey hole or something, driftwood etc... Bristles and a net not a good combination..
  2. Oh oh now it's going onto a different path.. Well I don't think my ideas were the right or wrong ones, they are just "my own"
  3. I haven't really noticed anyone on here that has had their noses in a knot as such.. it's a fun thread and all people have different ideas..
  4. A few of my bigger ones might do something, they are from a different bloodline to the ones I got off Paul.. however, I have put them together, can definately indentify the ones I previously had as they are larger.. if they do anything I will let you know if you want They certainly are showing alot of interest lately, however, I interupted them by shifting them into another tank.

    Water Hardness

We use Aragonite (marble chip) as a substrate and Limestone rocks in our Malawi Tank.. (also use Aragonite with our Tanganyikans)... This helps buffer the water... there are also various products on the market that some people choose to buy
  6. Awesome Gee Tee, good luck and keep us posted
  7. I have some and also got a few more off Paul to add to my collection.. (nice stock). It's funny a friend of ours used to breed them.. had a heap and he couldn't give them away!!! So he stopped breeding them and gave his breeders away.. now.. people are on the hunt for them So typical huh!

  18. Hiya We just use a stocking for the peat And we use the super fine peat that you get at the LFS... supplied from Brooklands.. Are you looking for an Aqua One foam insert or Aqua Clear which is Hagen product??? Haven't seen the Hagen hang on filters stocked down this way.. so not familiar with them. Aqua One do have foam inserts, but would they fit your Hagen Aqua Clear?

  21. The Aquis 2400 is a good 100mm higher and has an extra basket... They had a special on the Aquis range as they were brought in bulk.. so they were running at a cheap price, however I think most places are bringing them back to full price again. The 2400 was retailing down here at $280 (cheap promotion) and now they are back up to $400 - $500 each. Still down in price here in a LFS.
