  1. Wouldn't want to either
  2. 100Ltrs is small for a tank, and 5 goldfish WILL outgrow it in no time. The tank being tall means it has less surface area than a short 100Ltr tank would, so can hold even less
  3. Stupid people that dont know what they are talking about
  4. haha too true. you can keep her!
  5. A segment from 'a guide to keeping killifish' http://tgenade.freeshell.org/killibook/ ... lifish.pdf <----- PDF, beware

  7. Yea, just step out of the kitchen, across the deck and into the fishroom (er, garage) Im sure your other half wouldnt mind, as long as her avarys stay there
  8. http://www.fnzas.org.nz/fishroom/thinki ... 18044.html Have a read of that. it may help you out, or it may be totally useless, who knows. Feel free to ask more Q's about plants if that doesnt answer anything

  10. I've heard of mop spawners doing that (1 fem laying, rest eating) but that wouldnt happen with annuals would it?
  11. Thought id share a couple pics of my killie 'quarters' The 'big' tanks (25L) From left to right: Clown killies (Pseudoepiplatys annulatus), Nothobranchius Rachovii, Austrolebias Nigripinnis, Nothobranchius Palmqvisti and Nothobranchius Eggersi To the far right you can just see my 200L barrel, which is full of heated, aged water, which i can just pump into any tank when i need it. makes water changes simple! Then theres the 'Fry Quarters' 10 small tanks in one. a single heater in the middle section which heats all the other tanks. All of the small tanks are around 2L's, and are all seperate from each other. Theres a mixture of eggersi, nigripinnis, clown and palmqvisti young in them, plus some week old clown fry, 2 spare rachovii males, 2 female clowns, and one tank has my brineshrimp bottle bubbling away. This tank has a lid down each side but i took them off for the photo 8) All of the larger tanks have a 25W heater in them, and the fry quarters has a 25w heater aswell. none of the tanks have filtration or air, and the brineshrimp bottle runs off a small air pump. Pretty quiet system (used to run 3 air pumps, and have filters in every tank, but it was unbelievably noisy (especially in my bedroom!)) Enjoy
  12. Would it be fine to spawn some species, such as eggersi and/or palmqvisti in 6's? Like 2 males, and 4 females (ie two trios) I have eggersi galore, and i have two trios of palmqvisti anyway, so was wondering if i could just spawn them as a big group... If not, would it matter if i were to give a single male, 10 females to play with? Keep him happy Opinions?
  13. click here EDIT: made it a click here link cos the URL is huge
  14. Hope your boss doesn't read these forums buddy, otherwise, bye bye
  15. Why not? Name 'N' Shame!!!!
  16. You pretty much answered your own question.... TIME! BN will/may help, but thats about all you can do. manually remove it from the glass etc, otherwise just ignore it
  17. um, well, there was always something in them anyway, but yea i would of had 3 trios in there at one stage  And yea, i had seperate growout
  18. oh, will definately keep them then! Just have to setup another tank, oh what a bummer
  19. yep GBA's or normal BN seem to be best.
  20. as the others have said, yep. This is my old killie tank (when i first started with them) its a 2ft divided in 3. Perfect for trios! ...Then i got hooked and needed more, that tank took up too much room etc. The tank is now being used by a mate who has killies in it.
  21. awesome dude! would be cool to see some shots of the frogs
  22. Good on ya barrie. I am keeping the rachovii pumping non stop (that reminds me, have to dry their peat today!) Need to get rid of my striatum too, so that i have room for those palmqvisti
  23. mm wouldnt mind some either. Didnt Erling have some? Only person i know of who has/had them. Give him a call
  24. FOWLR's cheaper, Reefs cooler
