  1. Looks good dude, but BB will look oh so much better 8)
  2. Looks and sounds like Cyano. Slimey and dark reddish. Just pull it off, trying not too touch the coral itself too much. Cyano is normal if freshly setup tanks/systems
  3. "charlie", do you have at least $20,000 to spare on building an aproved quarantine facility? If answer is yes, go ahead, if answer is no, then don't even bother thinking about it! LOLOLOLOLOL!
  4. Lol david. Mud is fun, but there is a limit! Serviced my forks last night (the forks on the newest bike (boxxers)) and replaced the oil seals whilst i was at it (cos they were screwed!) The mess that used to be oil that came out of them was amazing  Dirty, grimey, watery, milky filth. they definately needed it. Was a pretty nerve racking time as it was my first time ever pulling something like that apart, but was actually realy easy. might pull my other ones apart some time
  5. Shuttles at the Redwoods this morning. Drifty as! Heaps of puddles, heaps of mud and heaps of fun!!! (nice feet!)
  6. NO! you dont NEED a ph of anything for any fish. fish are quite tolerant, and its better to have a low but STABLE pH, then put useless chemicals into the water and have it swinging back and forth. Dwarf gouramis are prone to disease, and always die anyway. A pH of 6, is not a HUGE difference from 7. yes it is a bit, but should not harm your fish too much, unless of course you have africans or other such fish that need a higher pH
  7. I've got ten 2 litre tanks with a selection of killies in each (mainly fry although the odd adult)
  8. I have java fern, java moss, amazon sword, marbled sword, another red sword of some sort and even a tiger lotus all growing well in my African tank (with demasoni and brichardi)
  9. please please PLEASE do not put goldfish in that tank. Tanks like that are not as good as the equivalent sized, normal shaped tank as they have much less surface area. That tank would only be good for a community of smallish fish, and only a medium number of fish. Remember, goldfish get big, fast! Nice tank though, and good deal
  10. Sweet article on plants in there 8)
  11. Thanks, might do something on killies in the future too
  12. What like this? Caryl already has it (i think)
  13. Im sure Wok will get the joke.....
  14. shot bro they look mean!
  15. Dixon, what i'd suggest for you to do is first of all join the NZKA, then obtain some mop spawners to start off with, and practice breeding them, raising fry, and all the other things we need to know how to do, then get some species of peat spawners (the more common, easier to breed ones) and get used to breeding them, storing eggs at the correct temp for the correct time period, hatching the eggs then raising the fry, and once you have done that heaps with the easier species you may well be lucky enough to get some of the rarer species. At this stage, the chances of a non-NZKA person getting nigs is about nil unfortunately.
  16. Very nice tank! I miss my Uaru
  17. LOL! what was i thinking? austrolebias, of course
  18. I have a large breeding pair, and eggs Everyone gets a few belly sliders from them
  19. I've got Austrolebias nigripinnis
  20. have had a pair in a 200 x 200 x 300 tank temporarily, and they spawned
