the aros were getting bigger so took out all the plants to make more room for them but one silver died when we moved houses, that is why i put in the discus i use to breed discus so i kept a few hehehe yes the tank has a very large filter system but i still do regular water changes lol i have a big guard dog

IMO i think they are over rated and i hate mine.....already sold one and will be selling the other one when i have enough cash to upgrade to eheim

yeah no lfs i have seen has them in stock....i had to order both my ones in if you do get one buy the eheim media pack to go with it, its very value for money

i hated my aquaone tank, never buy one again juwel has been pretty good for me, they are easily upgradable, doesnt take much to cut out the factory internal filter and replace it with a external. also not too hard to upgrade lighting, either extra T5 or remove the lids and have a metal halide good 2 year warranty, parts are easy to get or order, overall a very good tank and i'm very happy with my ones p.s redwood normally have them for a good price otherwise wait till animates have a 50% off sale

he has done an awesome job making it, did you get it painted/powdered coated? if i ever get back into a fish frenzy and need a stand i will know who to ask now

the Hailea air pumps are very noisy, i use eheim and aqua one eheim is very very quiet but cost a fortune aqua one is quiet and good value for money

i used a very very fine mesh bag and the purigen still came out when you rejuvenated it

i have used it and its a good product, just make sure you get the seachem bag with it it makes your water crystal clear, not sure about improving water quality as i do frequent water changes

oh one thing with glosso is that dont get fish that peck food off the bottom as they will peck and up root the glosso

i have read alot about DE but there has been no true research to prove what causes DE, i have/had 6 silvers and 2 asian reds, they all get feed the same foods, bare bottom to tanks with substrate and i have found some aro gets it and some dont once you get an aro, you will know its the luck of the draw, no matter if the tank is bb or what type of foods you feed it

no havent used them before, i'm thinking to get the rock one, weird how the colour is pealing off

going to reuse some of the glosso for the next layout....i'm thinking to try JBL AquaBasis and add a juwel 3d background

i know the new version of the juwel rio 400 and vision 450 can come with two high-lite set as a option now (4x54watt) i dont think the lido 120 has that option but you could always buy another high-lite unit and make some custom lids for it

i always thought there is no explanation for drop eye i have had a few aros in my time,all get feed the same things and some have DE and some dont it just the luck of the draw with their genes

yeah just going to let it grow wild for another month then i'm going to pull the whole tank down and start again with a new layout

here is an update the glosso has carpeted the bottom and now growing on the hairgrass pearling glosso took under 3months to get this growth
