  2. Sorry Alan, I meant I don't have any, and if i bought some off TradeMe, by the time they get here may be tooo late for when I need them, can you buy these at any Petshop, somehow I don't think My Petshop has them. Lots of Wrigglers now, only about 10 eggs that have turned white and no fungus, may have to do the swap over to the 2ft tank tonight. M & D doing a excellent job, feel abit like I'm cheating them out of their bubbies really, Yes go one say it, "YOU ARE"  ,might put a piece of spouting in the tank like Pegasus suggested, and hopefully they may lay again on that this time, maybe I could let them take care of the next lot. Cheers Lynda :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

  6. Thats not such good news Devon, could try keeping ya fins crossed and hope for a miracle. Lynda

  11. Hi Guys. I got some wrigglers :bounce: :bounce: , Mum and Dad doing a great job, Dad very protective of his bubbies   , lets hope we can get them to the next stage, fins crossed, still not sure if I should interverne and take them out of the 4ft Comm Tank and place them into a 2ftr or not , don't want the fry to get eaten by the other fishies in the Comm Tank when they become free swimming, I read that I should be feeding these bubbies BBS when they become free swimming, is this live dried or frozen BBS? Once again thanks for the help guys. Lynda
  12. Thanks for that Nik, already got some. Cheers Lynda
  13. Hi there Phatmatt, Hey, if you gonna be pulling those plants out of your tank, you can throw them this way, where you from? So by the sounds of it you dont use ferts or CO2 hmmm so whats the secret to growing your plants then, I feed mine ferts and CO2 and they still struggle to look nice and lush. Lynda
  14. Hmmmm, now thats got me thinking, let me know how it goes Antwan, I wouldn't think you would use the Soda Stream for making drinks for yourself aswell as using it as a source of CO2 for your fish tank, If I was going to go this way I would get an old one and use that for my tank, the other question I have is, how do you know just how much CO2 you are adding to the tank, I spose this would show up when doing a CO2 Test? seems like a very easy way to add CO2 to your tank. Keep me posted. Lynda
  15. Hi guys, I've been having a look around on TradeMe, and a guy is trying to sell a Soda Stream Machine on there with 2 bottles, he claims that his friend told him that he uses this for his fish tank, he fills the soda stream bottle with water from his fish tank, places this into the soda stream machine then presses the button 3 times then pours the water back into his tank, says he has had really good results from doing this, was wondering if anyone else out there has tried adding CO2 to their tank this way. Lynda
  16. Hi Nik, I would have to agree with Anthony, TradeMe is a great place to buy plants, I have bought several of them myself with great success, think the guys I bought plants from were Plantgrower and Waterplantz. Most of the time these guys are happy to courier plants to you. Good Luck Lynda
  17. Could possibly take a few days, but you may start to see something tomorrow, have you used a bubble counter? Lynda
  18. Thanks for the Tips Guys. I have left everything as it is and just letting Mum and Dad do what they think they should be doing at the moment, they seemed to have the corner of the tank where the power filter is, guarded well, so at this stage I will leave them to be, if I start seeing them eat the Eggs, then I may have to intervene. Probably alot easier to move them at the egg stage rather than at the fry stage, I must admit. Should I be leaving a light on for these guys at night time? Once again Thanks for the great advice. Lynda
  19. Thanks for the info Guys, will give it another shot and see if I have any luck this time. Tanksman: The Filter is a Resun 1000L/Hr Pegasus: Thanks for the tip about the Marley Spouting will give that a shot to. Alanmin: You mentioned to soak the eggs in Methelyne Blue for 5 mins, how much of this should I be using , don't want to kill them. Once again thanks for the help. Lynda
  20. Hi Guys, I have finally got a breeding pair of Angels again , some of you may not remember, but back in September last year, I had a breeding pair of Angels, that had laid eggs on the power filter, so I moved Mum Dad and the Eggs out of the 4ft comm tank and into a 2ft tank by themselves, the Eggs had got to the wriggler stage, then I got up one morning to find Mum Dad and the Wrigglers all DEAD, I'm not wanting this to happen again so any advice would be great, thought I might give the 2ft tank a good clean and leave it as a BB Tank, I will go tomorrow and get another heater and a small sponge filter to place in the 2ft tank, then I was going to syphon water from my 4ft tank which is where Mum Dad and the Eggs are at the moment and place this into the 2ft, as they have laid on the power filter thats in the 4ft Comm Tank, I thought I might take that out and place it in the 2ft tank (unplugged)until the Eggs get to the wriggler stage then I can take the unplugged filter out. Can anyone see any reason why this would cause a problem to my Breeding Pair and the Eggs, any advice would be great, I have left the tank light on tonight, so Mum and Dad can see their eggs and guard them from the other fishies in the tank. I'm really wanting this lot ot survive. Thanks Lynda

    Please Help

Beautiful Pic rcon. Do hope ya find one. :bounce: :bounce: Lynda
  23. Hi Dan, If I was you, I wouldn't place this tank on top of the fridge, not only because of the vibration from the fridge, but also because everytime someone goes into the fridge this is going to cause the fishies some sort of disturbance. Maybe wait and see what other replies you get for this post before you decide what to do, other people may think this is fine. Good Luck and Happy Fishing :bounce: :bounce: Lynda
  24. So sorry to hear about the death of your fishies , I personally don't like to put chemicals in my tank if I can help it, the Ammonia is a little high but if you continue with doing the water changes it will drop. Do hope you have nearly got over the problems that you have been having. Good Luck and Happy Fishing. Lynda
  25. Hi Paul, Really sorry to hear about the death of your Rainbows, really sad, would putting in another Power Filter help to get rid of whatever is in this tank, I don't know, just a thought, otherwise it may be a matter of stripping the Tank and starting all over again, or maybe taking out your really important fishies, as you have already done, untill the tank settles back down again. Really hope you find out what the problem is.I know how frustrating it is when you have fishies die and you just cant work out why. Lynda
