  1. Big airstone in the tank. A lot of surface movement. Fill some fizzy drink bottle and let it float in the tank. Leave the garage door open. ron
  2. Hi, discus are kept in temp of 28-30 deg. If kept in temp lower than 27deg you will have a hard time trying to keep them healthy. hth, ron
  3. Hi, have anyone used one of these and can you tell me how to install it? Thanks, Ron

  8. As long as Dominion Lead still in business there will be lead. I am a roofer and we use lead flashing for concrete tile roof. Can't see any stuff that can mould onto the shape of the tile. ron
  9. Thanks Shane, That's what I thought when I saw the fish. To me (newbie to catfish) they all look the same but have different names. ron
  10. Try to have your temp at 28-29 degree for breeding. ron

  14. Fishboi, could it be L081? I agree they're both gorgous and I like them. Notorious.. the gold nugget actually cost slightly more lol. Ron
  15. You might be right Fishboi. Sure don't look anything like L076. I got them both at the same time and at the same place. I even ask them what the difference is between the two cos' they look the same to me. lol ron
  16. Yes, I got them locally. They do look very similar. One is more yellow with bigger dots and the other is black body with smaller dots (something like that) I myself don't know which is which lol. ron
  17. How can the nitrate be zero if you have just cycled the tank. The bacterial convert the ammonia and nitrite to nitrate. You will have to get rid of the nitrate. I agree with Luke to do a 90% WC. You have to make sure the new water is aged and the water parameter is the same so as not to upset the cycle. That's what I normally do anyway and it works everytime. Ron
  18. So do you catch them with your hands?? ron
  19. Put a piece of courgette in the front of the tank and turn the light off. You can catch them at night with a torch easily. ron
