  1. That is what quarantine is all about. Everything you use is is not contaminated. Don't want any old filters, gravels, water or fish in there to cycle the tank. You don't know what sorts of nasties these stuffs is harbouring. Any little thing can trigger an outbreak of diseases. ron

  15. Better safe than sorry. Then again if the fish is cheap enough to replace and readily available you can take the risk. But when you have a tank of discus that is worth over $4000.00 , you'll think twice about saving a few cents on every waterchange . Especially when some of the strains could not be replaced even with money. Ron

  17. You can get 2 if you want but have a divider on hand. If 1 get hassle you'll have to seperate them. ron
  18. You can start with 6 50mm discus in a BB tank. Waterchange at least 3 times a week (25%). A heater set at 28 deg. A sponge filter (minimum), or hang on back filter or small canister filter. The fish will grow to about 8-9 cm. Then you'll have to get them a bigger tank. Ron

  20. I've got some and they're starting to pair up. PM me if you're after some. Got a batch of smaller one too. Ron
  21. you shouldn't be feeding liquid fry food after 2 weeks of swimming. 3 mths old frys should be eating anything and everything and they should be quite big in size by now unless they're stunted.
  22. If I were you, i'll ring the the seller cos' only he/she will know the fish best. How big is the fish (not including tail). If the fish is too small, it probably won't make it. Cheers, ron
