  1. get half a dozen more :bounce: ron
  2. Yes the lever is the tap BUT you still have to switch it off and release the pressure before you pull on the lever. The canister is presurised and if you don't release the presure, once you pull on the lever you will have water everywhere. ron
  3. Discus will be ok in PH 5-PH8.5. Trick is to keep it stable (not 5 one day and 7 the other) Baby discus are better kept in groups of 6 and over. 3 is a bad number to have. Hope your baby discus is not too small or you'll have a hard time raising them in a community tank. Better to raised them up in a BB tank and then put them in the com tank. They need alot of food and WC to grow to their pottential. With heavy feeding there is no way you can keep the water quality clean. Clean doesn't mean crystal clear water. It simply mean the least amount of dissolved waste and nutrients. Good luck with your discus and do not play with the PH. Cheers, Ron

Very nice pigeon checkerboard and melon you got there Notorious. Keep up the good work. ron
  10. I agree that 8 tablespoon of salt in a 60 ltrs is way too much for the loaches and plants too. I only had whitespot once on my breeding ram pair and treated them with 1 dose of malachite and formalin. ron
  11. It all depends on how cold/warm your place is. My planted tank is 1500mm x 700 x 700 and there is only 1 300w fluval heater in it. So far it's kept the temp between 28 - 29 deg. Might have to add another heater when the cold weather set in Of all the heaters i've tried, Fluval tronic came out top. ron
  12. Caryl, I think you meant carbon are not necessary. I don't use carbon either. ron
  13. Your problem might be in the gravel itself so you might have to strip the tank to be sure.
  14. YES!! tREAT WITH PRAZI.
  15. a 60 ltrs tank is probably only good for you school of tetras or just your 2-3 baby discus (they should be kept in a group of 6 or greater) by themselve.
  16. second that. That is what I call a photo, which you can see things clearly. It is heavily planted and look good. Make sure you have open spaces for the discus to swim in. ron
  17. I would chuck the melafix and start doing daily waterchange and adding 2 tablespoon rock salt per 40 ltrs water. ron
  18. I would cull the spiralling fish cos it's hard to fix them when they spiral. Set up a BB tank (hospital) and put all the fish in there. Don't bother using water or anything from the existing tank. Just new water with a heater and airstone. Declorine the water first.
  19. I don't think the frys will stand a chance with all the other fish in with them. Good luck anyway. ron
  20. Stone and water world at marua rd penmure.
  21. I would just put them in the tank you want them and put double dose of TLC (bacterial) in and run them. Chuck the fish in the next day. Wouldn't bother using any old water or squeezing any craps from any filters into the new tank. You never know what you'll end up with ron
  22. Thanks Ant! How is U life? Best of luck in your studies. Shiuh, thanks Still doing a few planting and replanting as the tank matures. Glad I got all those algea problem behind me now (touch wood). Trying to keep it all swords so I don't have to keep trimming it LOL. Cheers, ron
  23. Agree with Alan4304, They are all rubbish or feeder fish. Don't know what he's trying to achieve by putting all those fish together to breed and the word lionchu , give me a break. ron
