reef
cookie wrote don't worry your eyes are ok, it is a bit out of focus. really need a better camera (well thats my excuse anyway ) Those photos are really bad, as that tank is way better. Atleast now i have a excuse to come over and take some real photos.
Feelers
I dont think Ive seen anyone with a butterfly fish. Is there a reason there aren't any? -eat corals or something? I remember when I was snorkeling in Rarotonga I saw some racoon butterfly fish, they look awesome.
lduncan
They're polyp munchers, but some people do keep them in large tanks with acros which can sustain them. Acros recover quickly, unless the fish are partial to one in particular. Layton
Ira
They're polyp munchers, Layton Sounds like a rude euphemism to me. :bounce:

Will take a better shot in a months time
cracker
Wow that coralline is awesome! How come none in the new tank, is it the same rock? Youre right Wasp....Incedible. That is form what I can gather.... "Seachem Reef builder" (Contains strontium) Strontium increases Coralline growth. or the flouros...... Not sure but very interesting. wasp
I don't use it and mine is growing like crazy!! This brings an interesting point about most additives. They will work great if they were in short supply. Where there is no shortage, no point dosing it.
cracker
Things can grow ok, but it doesnt mean they are growing at their best. Classic example is ZEOvit users. Coralline is pale in colour due to lack of nutrients.
lduncan
Coralline is pale in colour due to lack of nutrients. Could be other reasons.

wasp
In fact Craig was right the first time. Coraline growth is weak in zeovit tanks because of the low alkalinity regime. One of the things I missed when I changed to the method. But SSHHHH!! doesn't pay to mention the "z word"

reef
Classic example is ZEOvit users. Coralline is pale in colour due to lack of nutrients. I think it is more to do with the bright light than lack of nutrients
