SamH
never, ever take your mum for granted I don't So we're into day 5 of this project and we have growth! So far only a few of the bunches have visible shoots but I bet there's heaps going on in the substrate right now. Notice the O2 on the blades, the hairgrass is pearling with all the CO2 I'm dumping in. Looking at getting some occupants next month too. Stay tuned folks. SamH
Lazy Sunday afternoon, the sun sneaked up on the tank while I was gaming. Shows just how much CO2 I'm pumping into this bad boy.
NoFishing
LOL, I've seen some cola's with less fizz than that. I think if you had fish they would be making little burping sounds.

Well I am using a sodastream bottle, they're supposed to carbonate water
Adrienne
I am putting CO2 in at 1.2bps and have a tank absolutely chocker of minute bubles from the Pressurised CO2 system. Not brave enough to go more as yet.
SamH
I'd estimate I'm running around 3 bps at the moment (not that that's an accurate unit of measurement ) but will have to drop it when I stock the tank.
phoenix44
4-5 and I don't see much in the tank. Plants must glug it all up!
SamH
What diffuser are you using P44?

phoenix44
I use an atomizer.
SamH
Inline? I've never had so many bubbles as I've had with my inline atomiser.
Adrienne
I use a standard glass diffuser with about a 3cm wide base to it and the bubbles run straight into a power head which spits them out at a great rate
SamH
Changed the CO2 cylinder today, used a months worth of CO2 in just under 7 days, growth is good and no algae as of yet.

SamH
excited for this to develop Tell me about it, I've been spending around 6-8hrs next to this tank for the last week and it's like watching grass grow :nilly:
Godly3vil
I'm impressed Sam, looks real good and will look really pro once the hairgrass has spread and filled in, very Amano looking. On another note did you see the guy on trademe who is selling his services for scaping iwagumi style aquariums?

Godly3vil
Same here, thought it was kind of cheeky. Especially using pics of tanks from the net.
