!drool: So, what's it set you back so far? I won't be doing a marine tank for another 5 years yet, but I might collect bits and pieces along the way....

What do you're parents think of it? If my daughter wanted that much space for a tank, I'ld outright say no. There isn't room here.

soooo..... havnt done a update for a long time sooo.... here

we'll start at the beginning with a tank we started in our office, it was our old 270l we used as a frag tank with had lots of cycled rock, then one day we found loads of copepods and aphipods so we decided, why not keep a mandarin in a seperate system away from the tank with wrasses, so we got a healthy male mandarin from aquaworld a month and a half ago and he is awesome always eating and all. But late last month there was a bigger power ball mum wasnt happy with, (due to having a few heaters in the 270, the office is really cold in the winter) so we shut it down and rebuilt the 4fts sump as a 5ft sump with a 2ft compartment (for frags and mandarin) and have a refugium and skimmer and sump compartments, and to this day the mandarin is still fat and active.

We have also got our first sps corals, including, bali slimer, montipora, acroporas and a frog spawn (thanks ciedre :D)

and we now have 6 varietys of zoas and white polythoas (From LA)

and finally the dragon is out of the tank :D (we sold him to wonderworld for $40

Okay, we have added a blue tang we got off LA 2 months ago :? he got really nad ich for a bit after being attacked by kolin but the shrimps cleaned him up and after a few days of no stress and re aranging rockwork to reset teritorys and meet her requriments shes 100% fat and healthy.

lastly, today we added our final fish for the main display tank, 5 chromis and a baby clown, im soo happy, within 3hrs of being in the tank the clown was paired with the other and prouncing in the rbta :bow-blue:  no agresion what-so-ever

and suddenly the tank felt complete, the chromis seemed to off made the firefish have bigger balls and swim out from ages :D

All of this is under LEDs
