That's not very nice!!!

I bought K4's and I can't grow stony corals, I wish I had gone with something better.

Does anyone know how I can have an auto top up for my RO water into my sump...I am running the risk of burning out my skimmer as I sometimes forget to add a bucket of or water a day to replenish the evaporation. Need something like a float switch....thanks! Don't want to spend too much!!

I moved a 1.8 mt tank from ChCh to Blenheim, I got the fish babysat at the pet shop in ChCh, put all rock in two big barrels, with half of the water, loaded the tank and cabinet onto trailor....then drove to Blenheim, set it up with fresh sea water had it running for a week then drove back to pick up fishies....just in buckets, they survived! Was a mission though....good luck!! I have a big sump here if you want to store anything.

If I were to get get clowns again I would look at getting a pair of clarkies, they are awesome!!

Use sea water!!! And go big!!

Could you tell us bait more about your lights and where you got. Them from and how much they set you back? I'm running metal halides at the moment, am looking at LEDs. The colour you have is fabulous!! Well done!!!

All my snails have disapeared....what would cause them all to die?? I have some funny looking star fish in the tank, they just appeared, quiet small things but they have one longer "leg"....does anyone know what these are and if they are bad or not??

lovely fish, but couldn't help feeling sad for them.

How do you keep all those clowns and not have any fight with each other?? I have a maroon clown but I can't have any other clown as he chases them....

I think I could make a fish surgeon....but my nursing skills sucked!! I buried Larry in the veggie garden...with "Hugo" my lawn mower blennie.

Yes I do have some rock in the hospital tank....just wasn't good enough....I think he may have been week too as he hadn't been able to feed properly for a while....but he still looked healthy enough. His nose looked good, no signs of infection at all, thats what makes me so mad with myself!!! He was a cool fish, he use to look at me with those eyes!!! I am sure he recognized different people. What happened to the Bird Wrasse you had for sale with Trigger??

I finally had to do something with Larry Long Nose. He wasn't able to eat anymore, I did manage to feed him by hand, but the tumour got so big that it obstructed his vision and couldn't catch anything in his mouth. I decided to go with the surgery thing.... I was able to catch him quiet easily in the end, he just swam into my net while getting chased and annoyed by the cleaner wrasse. I hadn't managed to get the courage up to do it, so when he landed in my net....that was it, I had to do something for him. I put about 5 drops of clove oil in a bucket, it took about a minite for him to roll over onto his back and go to sleep. I wrapped his body in a wet gauze, wiped his nose with iodine (without alcohole) to clean the surface skin, injected marcain (which is a local aneasthetic) with adrenalin, which would stop any bleeding. I was quiet nervous as I didn't want to have him out of the water for too long....My husband assisted me by holding him while I got the stitch cutter with the tweezers....it was quiet a hard mass of grissel type tissue, quiet hard to get a grip of....I removed all of the tumour in about 3 minites...or thats how long it seemed....I then covered the area in a antibiotic cream and stress coat....there was no bleeding. It took about a minite holding Larry in front of the power head in the hospital tank set up....he started to breath again and swim away. I was so excited just reviving him....he survived the first night just sleeping really, and in the morning he actually ate some breackfast, and then some lunch too!! I was even more excited!!! By that evening he seemed to slow down, and by the morning he was dead. I was so upset at this outcome, but I feel that it was the quality of the hospital tank which lead to his death in the end. I did water changes each day but that wasn't enough....I think if I had rigged up a way so that I could have introduced him into the big tank he would have survived. It was great to see him being able to eat again as he just loved food!!! I never thought that I would be quiet as upset as I have been over a fish!!!!

Yes I wonder what the reason is too...they are such wonderful fish......my very bestest fish!!! Hope they come in soon...my tank is not the same...no one comes up for a scratch anymore at feeding time...

Can you keep any other clowns with your maroon??? I had to get rid of my two little Nemo's because of the bossy :evil: Maroon...there was plenty of room for them...and three anenomes to choose from :-? ...but the Maroon wanted them all and kept the nemos in the corner of the tank!!

Yes!!! A human nurse though!!! They can talk!!! Sorry about the little argument going on.....I just want the Lawn Mowers to come back!! Now we all know its up to MAF to give the go ahead....until then there will be no other fish to compensate for the loss of my "Hugo"!!! The first step to the surgery is to CATCH Larry!!! That will be quiet hard as he is very intelligent....and know whats up....and hides quiet well!! I shall have to do it by surprise!!!
