si_sphinx
The battle of the BBA has finally been won! I neglected the tank for a few months and it went downhill. Busy with work. Everything covered in algae, it wasn't pretty. I did a big trim back of all my ferns and it didn't even look like I had cut them back when I had finished. Anyway I finally figured out the correct balance between light and ferts and everything is going perfect with the plants. HOWEVER... have flooded my lounge 5 times in the past two weeks   And tonight again for the last time! I have had enough of this tank. I will take some final photos this weekend before I pull it apart. Marine is my next adventure. The tank will move to a different place in the house with new plumbing that won't flood. Not looking forward to seeing the carpet underneath

Godly3vil
Oh well, can't wait to see this as a marine setup though. Are you going reef?

si_sphinx
No reef. Just FOWLR for a while and see how I go.
Joe
You should do an African cichlid setup instead. They're just as colourful as marine fish and easier and cheaper to look after  I personally don't see the point in having a marine tank unless it's a reef. Godly3vil
I think hes already done the African setup dude.
si_sphinx
Yea Ive had this same tank as a mixed malawi tank and a Tanganyikan tank. on two occasions. The tank is now empty of most plants. And still have all my plecos which are for sale. Offers welcome. I don't really want to be posting fish either. Sophia
I think you should take a selection of the photos and put them in the freshwater members section so we can remember forever :tears:

Barnacle
Photos 4 and 5 need to be swapped around it think. Great being able to see all the photos in order like that!
si_sphinx
I will dd the photos to the members tank section when I have time. Photo 5 and 5 are in the correct order. Photo 4 is after I went away for a week over xmas and I wasn't there to keep the plant pruned. Photo 5 was after the plants had a trim. If you notice all the other ferns have more growth than photo 4. Most of the photos are a month apart. except for the last few.
