Sophia Posted September 25, 2011 Report Share Posted September 25, 2011 Moved my snail breeding experiment into the outdoor pond and took down the tank they were in. Even though I fed them and gave calcium bites and plant leaves, they were not thriving, due to lack of food and/or light and/or warmth for some. I was given a bath, which I intend to make into a pond for my turtle over summer and maybe add some tadpole, mountain minnows, goldfish and possibly snails... Sophia Posted September 25, 2011 Report Share Posted September 25, 2011 I started with the little flat ramshorn type snail that come on the plants usually, and was given some normal pond snails. I think the ramshorns were reproducing slowly but it appeared that the older ones were dying off or shells going white when they got to edible age.
