Joe
How big is the tank? If its quite large (200 liters or more), you can get cheap ADA-style diffusers on Ebay, which certainly beat those hideous Rhinox things.
phoenix44
Nothing in that price range beats a Rhinox. Just because you think they don't look good , doesn't mean they are not good. They are fantastic value for money and won't be beaten on performance.
SamH
"Hideous" is a matter of opinion really.
fordayzbro
Don't forget your check valve, bubblecounter and timer for your solenoid. Worth getting a dropchecker also
Jennifer
While we are on the subject, does anyone know if we can get dual stage regulators here? I am specifically looking for a Victor brand (probably a used one if I can find it).
Adrienne
My husband has just purchased one for me from Ezitools New Zealand in Glenfield. It was $505 filled. Its a size D which is 6kg. They ship. Regulator I got from HFF Mt Roskill. The only thing I don't have is a solenoid. Not sure if the price is standard, expensive or anything else. Adrienne
"Hideous" is a matter of opinion really. Agreed - I have a rhinox and it doesn't matter what it looks like. The plants have grown so much you really can't see it any more
alanmin4304
I have just bought a replacement solenoid at $

Sorry, I wasn't meaning to make it sound like they are no good, because I understand they are excellent, but I just think they look very ugly. I should choose better wording next time I voice my opinions - I have to be careful of what I say on the forums, or I'll end up with everyone on here as my enemies. I'm quite pathetic really.
phoenix44
No enemies Joe, you don't have to worry about that.
Joe
But if I continue being the way I was, then it will happen sooner or later... And sorry wellmax for sabotaging your thread.

Jennifer
Indeed they are. Don't feel bad Joe, being diplomatic is quite a skill sometimes. Next time perhaps you can try a 'feedback sandwich' - something good, followed by something that can be improved on, followed by something good. For example, you could say "Wow, that is a high quality diffuser. They aren't my favourite in terms of appearance, but they sure do work well." 8)

You can think you've made something clear but to someone else it makes no sense. This is a family forum and everyone is welcome to their own opinions.
