kiwiplymouth
I used a cutting disk on an angle grinder to cut mine but now that I have a Dremel tool I would use that.

kiwiplymouth
Just bury it half in the gravel. That would need pretty deep gravel
SamH
That would need pretty deep gravel Depends how big the pot is

Sunbird73
I cut a "door" in mine fairly easily with a hacksaw. It would take a little longer to cut completely in half but the terracotta does cut easier than wood IMO.
Caryl
Go to a pottery place, garden centre, or The Warehouse. They often have broken pots and I am sure you could find one broken in a way to suit your needs

Zayne, if you don't have access to a Dremel, I have an angle grinder you can borrow for the job, though will need to get a cutting disc. Been thinking of doing this myself, for a hide for my dragon, and also in some tanks.
Joe
Use a hack saw. Cut the pot when it's wet. Soak it in water for a few days. It is extremely easy to cut when wet, and doesn't take long either.
