Insect Direct
Who knows, its not entirely upto me. Just stoked to finally have some success. Theyve been a good challenge to breed Ill say that much.
Joshlikesfish
Hard getting the line pure? I'd imagine so
Insect Direct
Not hard in that sense. Breed albino to albino and you get albino. Thing is i dont have any males so that has made things a bit more tricky/drawn out.
Joshlikesfish
I bet that was a real pain...

herperjosh
Awesome what happened to them being plentiful like i think 1-2 years ago? i remember seeing them on tm for $40!
Insect Direct
Were never plentiful if you ask me....Doesnt take much to seem that way in lil ole NZ i suppose. What was around was said to be rendered infertile, and or no/few males distributed. Then original breeders stock destroyed when Maf came across another species of frog in that persons possession. I could be wrong but thats the most common rumour/s floating around. Pretty sure there was another breeder too...not sure where they went. alanmin4304
As far as I know there is a genetic weakness and no one has successfully bred them albino to albino, so there has been a delay while people breed them back to normals then out again. The breeding season is coming so who knows--maybe someone will get lucky.
