JazzyJeff
Hi there! Can I get a few opinions on what type of Killie I should start with? I am keen to get one or some but am unsure which to start with - would love to hear some suggestions. I do like the colours blues and reds and am drawn to the longer fins... What say you? Caryl
My first killie was A scheeli. A lovely fish and easy to look after and breed.

Barrie
live longer) Golden wonders live about the same length of time as 95% of other Killis Even the annuals can live for quite some time with a N. Korthausae dieing yesterday at the age of 20 months.... this was an annual fish so expected to live a lot less. Most mop spawners (non annuals) will live the same lenght of time as other tropical fish of a similar size
oeminx
with a N. Korthausae dieing The farther of all of the korthausae in NZ

Barrie
may be that the age is in the wild? I know with Brendas doves and when I had raceing pigeons, wild pigeons would normally last for only 2 years at best but those in captivity could last for 20 years I suppose good tucker and healthy condidtions? My oldest would be over 2 years at least Ryan
oeminx
*contenplates a wee Breeding Tank ....* Please make sure you read the warning tho.
JazzyJeff
Remember to look at the sizes they get to, and wat they do in the tank. (ie: swim around the top, hide in tank, swim out in open etc) Thats why I liked the Goldens, cause they get to a good size, live longer, and swim around the top like lil submerines about to come out of the water! LOL! :-) I like your chain of thought there mystic - where do they hang out in the tank - would quite like one that will swim in mid range and perhaps if it is poss some that swim at the top that will get along with the mid range swimmers, & vice versa
oeminx
What about these together; Pseudepiplatys Annulatus (Top) Poropanchax Normani (Middle schooling) Aphyosemion Bitaeniatum OR Striatum OR Austraile Gold (Mid-Bottom)
