bronze-dragon Posted April 13, 2009 Report Share Posted April 13, 2009 I have a small foam filter in the comunity tank as a back up (all the time) and when I need to cycle a tank I do a water change for there and put the old water in the new tank and switch the canister filter over putting a new on in the comunity tank (mixing the media then seperating it between the two filters). I then do a 50% water change every day for then next 3 days with some tetras or guppies in there to keep the bacteria well fed I am sure this not the "recomended way" but if you have a healthy comunity tank like I do it should be fine 8) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
