caserole
We probably will never get them as the allowed list is all but finalised I think and no one will pay the $$$$$$ to put then on. If were lucky they may come in by accident. They are sooooo cool. Most microrosbora are tiny no bigger then a neon tetra.

Fred
i think the way the MAF thing works is that if it is a species which was not present in NZ BEFORE 1997 or 6 then it is not allowed to be introduced into the country. Hence the species allowed list is meant to be representative of all things that were in country pre 97/6 but of course list is not complete so if you can prove it was here before then, then may be allowed to be added to list. or if they get special permit but thats huge dollars to get clearance for a new species But with this fishy if it has only been discovered it will have no hope getting in the coutry, other than through special permits i would imagine, like Koi's being kept at the zoo

fishboi
that's about $10 NZ, a bit on the expensive side for a schooling fish no bigger than a neon. would cost a bit to get a decent size school mind u i bet they breed like nuts so its just a matter of time before the price comes down.
