  1. Suphew, do you use t5s.?? I have noticed that the pink montis do go really pink under t5s, i think the t5s do have a lot of UV in them so it tends to give them nice colours.

    Sad looking tank

I doubt it will be that. Normally if you have something effecting so many corals it is normally some thing basic. Got any photos of the sick corals??

pretty much doubt it is your water. more like the kh cause by the antiphos. How much antiphos did you put on??

Reading the thread again i pick the problem is the low Kh, which could have be caused by the antiphos. Antiphos/rowaphos tend to drop kh fast which in my experiance causes problems especially if you use more than what the instruction say. Best just do 20% water chnage and get the Kh up. also again reduce lighting as the coral wont need much light when damaged.

I would not do a big water change as it will stress the corals more. Just do 20%. Maybe it was the carbon or po4 remover; do your corals look like they are faded at all?? got any photos??
  8. T5 lighting also makes it go pink.

Could be many reasons. Low kh can cause problems. Something with your saltwater, joys of using seawater, did not a sewer line break sometime ago around Wellington? Too much po4 remover or carbon, probably the problem. salinity 1.026?? How do you test this? Maybe get it down a bit. Get your kh up a bit and turn off the carbon and po4 . Reduce your halides by a couple of hours. Don’t add anything. Wait and see

    pH

I noticed that the quality of the probes makes a big difference also. I am using glass probes which seem to be far more accurate.

7.6 seems to low, so the ph meter need calibration or changed.
  16. yes it goes pink with low nutrients. 6500k and 10k lighting also seems to make it go pink.

  20. Awesome tank. less than 8 months old. good to see it after a few years when it matures.
  21. No point using vodka, If you want to give it a kick start use ammonia chloride .
  22. Enough flow to just lazily move the polyps around is about right. medium to low light. If it is dying off then give it lots of flow so it removes the bactaria that is killing it,
  23. Pretty much the same effect with any coral food.?? WOW.
