    Lamarck Angel

Lots of fish tend to get more aggressive when they get bigger. Larmacks are fine when small, but once they get large they will get more stroppy.

    Lamarck Angel

would be a risk as they can fight even if a female. Might be ok if you removed the male for a week and introduced them at the same time.
  5. 2x 150w will be fine. unless you want tank full of Acropora. some 150w bulbs are brighter than many 250w bulbs . so make sure you get quality bulbs, I would say the aquaone bulbs are crap. Pointless covering the tank as you will reduce the light. Just get fish that dont jump.
  6. My favorite. Holacanthus clarionensis Genicanthus personatus-male My scribble angel

Only a few freshwater fish are being added, I just happen to have a invoice dated pre 1998 with the L46 on it, If you can get invoice dated pre1998 then the fish can be added pretty easy.

    skimmer why?>

Are you sure, More people have ecosystem method that hobbyist keeping SPS coral. I tried it and it worked ok, the only reason i stopped was that my sump was too small to support my tank load, Maybe the next tank will have MM with a skimmer working at night. Hollywood fish runs it on the coral tanks and it seems to be working as all the coral look good, the show tank in Mt roskill seems to be going well. The stuff is ecxpensive to buy, but it cheap as you dont add any other supplement other than calcium/kh buffer.

    skimmer why?>

you can get some small skimmer that are designed for freshwater.
  12. The tubeastrea are easy to keep if you can feed them. so they do very well in a specialised tank. I have seen zoos overseas that have them and they grow all over the wall, I think one of the CORAL magazines has a good article on them.
  13. Coitus: Sexual union of a male and a female; also called sexual intercourse.
  14. Nano is for small tanks so the vortech is a larger pump. Vortech are like tunze streams but do cost far more than a stream. The vortech does put out more water movement and the pulse mode looks interesting. Does the same thing as a Tunze wavebox.
  15. do you mean costs or water movement.
  16. Will be interesting to see how they go on my tank with the waves.
  17. cool videos of the new driver in the vortechs, should have mine in a few weeks. http://s187.photobucket.com/albums/x171/ipluu/Video/?action=view&current=Vid002.flv cool waves. http://www.reefcast.com/videos/vortec2.mpg

    skimmer why?>

yes basically. Also the skimmer adds a lot of oxygen to the water

    skimmer why?>

In a closed aquarium you need to export waste. skimmers does this to a large degree, so does water changers. With a good skimmer it will remove waste faster thus less waster changes. maybe you will only need to do water changers once a month,. More food you put in the tank the more waste you have to remove otherwise the fish will swim in poo and get sick,

    skimmer why?>

sure you dont need a skimmer, just make sure you do weekly water changers
