    my new fish

SIxline wrasse is fine with shrimps. Eight line wrasse will eat shrimps.
  3. They should be ok, may take a day or two to open, just make sure they get good water flow. could check KH, salinity?
  4. Initially i thought the streams were expensive and the seios look well priced, but then when you do the numbers the streams are not that expensive. You can’t compare the seio with the streams as the streams can pulse and comes with a wave maker controller which has other options like moonlight etc The stream will do 7000 litres vs. the seio only 3200L. The streams will last 10 years, the seio 1-2 yr tops. The seios can only be turned on and off vs. the streams slow/fast speed. The streams are 24volts vs 240volts for the seios. If you want to do a most accurate comparison you have to compare the seio 820 vs. stream 6060(cant be controlled) You need two seios vs. 1 stream. seio cost $usd52 vs. stream usd $127. So no savings at all and the seios will not last. The seio are bigger i had them side by side.

    AUCKLAND REEF CLUB

The club that i set up 2-3 years ago was just a bi monthly meeting where we could meet hobbyist. It never had any sales focus like the nzmas. If some hobbyists have got time to go and set up an Inc society then that is great, but going by my experience everyone is keen for a month then it slowly dies as these days everyone is busy. Especially if you have kids. But I am just restarting the Auckland reef club in its original form where we just go and visit a tank and maybe have a Barbie and a few beers. The club is not just for aucklanders. Its is just a name. The date I set might be a problem as it is round the bays. so might look at another date.

  12. You are correct you have no reputation. Just always looking after number one as usual. No need to discredit you, you have done that yourself.
  13. If you are sick and tired then get some sleep. As i said you are a liar and always have a hidden agenda. Get a new line. You can talk. Start writing the truth then this would not happen.
  14. Pies does make a valid point that I am the distributor of salifert and rowaphos, Wasp makes very good points. Pies claims that hobbyist have problems with the Salifert products which is a liar as there is no proof. There is info on iron based phosphate remover which does drop your ph a bit, so if you add kaltwasser this is not a problem. I have been using both products and have never had any problem, nor has anyone in New Zealand. Salifert phosphate killer has a big following in New Zealand and is the most popular phosphate Remover. Aqua medic which is sold by his friend Steve( jetkski ) like salifert/rowaphos are also iron based. So a total contradiction by Mark as he now uses Aquamedic and then wants to use rowaphos which is also iron based. Ben , If you try some of the phostphate killer I will give you a 100% refund if it does not work.Email me and i will send you a small sample) Also don’t worry about the Liars by Mark as he can’t provide any details of hobbyist having problems with the Salifert product. There is nothing on the Net that blames Salifert for any problems, And if he does it will be a isolated case. Mark is fairly new in the Hobby so his knowledge and experience is very limited and all he is doing is trying to put doubt in your mind about the Salifert Phostphate so he can promote Aquamedic which is not really stocked by any shops. Ben i have the most expensive tank in New Zealand and if i was having any problems i would not be distributing any of these products. The best way to use the salifert product is to put it in a canister filter so you push the water through it, this way you will get better water contact
  15. The tunze coral glue is in the same price range as the aquanead.
  16. That’s a joke, more like trying to steer hobbyist away from fish shops. Steve looked at the commercial forum which advised a new product from Tunze to glue coral and then posted a stupid post . You are so predictable.
  17. Rowaphos and salifert have good reputation. both iron based. Tunze also have a new product called zeolith which removes nurients and some phostphate, pretty much like Zeovit without the bacteria. ZEOVIT is a Zeolith. "Alumin Silicate di hydrated." I don't know what kind of zeo, but it is first an adsorber of ion. The ion adsorbed depend of the quality of the Zeo. And in saturation the Zeo can release in the tank the ion adsorbed if there is in the tank ions with more affinity with the Zeo. And Secondly a support for bacteria.

Its not that big, Here is some info. My rock work get in the way in my tank. so the wavebox needs clear path for water flow. Pretty cool invention http://www.tunze.com/Interzoo-Neuheiten-2004/Wavebox.html http://www.tunze.com/Interzoo-Neuheiten-2004/Flyer%202004/Flyer_2004_E_GBP.pdf

    Reef Tank-Auckland

aprx $900. price is less it you add extra as you dont need more controllers, Tried 1 wave box, but too small for my tank. i would need about 2-3 to make it work well. i cant fit 3 wave boxes in my tank so will stick with 4 streams.
