    New Skimmer

Hi Nice skimmer, good to have another hobbyist in the Deltec club. All you need now is the self cleaning head. and another $1000. Here are some pics of the new self cleaning head, Deltec replaced it as the last system using pumps was useless.

I would try changing them over and if fails then get a replacement, should be under warranty. It does sound like the bulb as mine did that a few months ago.

  18. I doubt it has anything to do with nitrites, i suspect you tank has been going for sometime, whilst low levels of nitrite is not good, in seawater with the high ph it is not as bad as freshwater with nitrite levels. I have not had a good read of the thread but what about the seawater, many people have had problems when using natural seawater and Kevans post seems to confirm this.
  19. The acros are looking nice, the flatworms are a bit of a worry, there are millions of them.
  20. Nice pics, i quite like the lps coral.
  21. That is a quality product  Some guy on trade me cant give them away.
  22. Tank looks great, I like the aqua scaping. I would personally go 8x250w. I found that getting a better spread of light is more important than brightness. Been disappointed with my 4x400w, more light than previously but no benefit upgrading to 400w. All my corals are doing well under the 400w but when they are away from the light they are not doing as well. So I am going to change to 8x250w.
  23. that would be a good option. maybe go a bit higher like 65cm.
