  6. Hi all! Trying to catch up on all the posts...as I said in another post, summer here :bounce: :bounce: so not on net much! Anyway, my 29 gallon tank, with tiger barbs & red eye tetras, has a "film" on the top. If I recall correctly :-? , thought I noticed it before but never really did anything about it but noticed it again tonight when I was feeding them. I did my water change last Thursday because I was going away for a few days. Planning on doing my change on Saturday or Sunday. Any ideas what this could be? Should I do my change tomorrow? (Meaning Friday here  :-? 8) )

  10. Hi Behind in the posts so I'm trying to catch up :-? Did you get another tank yet? I have 3 goldfish Sam, Beauty, & Puff in a 10 gallon tank, but recently decided that it's going to become a hospital/quarantine tank when I find one to put my goldies in It is highly recommended that you place styrofoam under your tank, thought I'd drop that in case you didn't know 8) Take care & have fun, Caper

  15. You have been given lots of advice so I all I'll say is don't buy any more fishies till you get everything sorted out. Are they all goldfish? You may have reached you're limit for that size tank. Good luck, take your time when doing things, don't rush and take a deep breath Oh wise fishy people, what is 12 cm in inches???

    Help Please

Wouldn't that be too stressful for the fish?
  17. But it's like Caryl said, white spot looks like a salt shaker was taken to the fishies. I have had white spot...ah, er...I mean my fishies have had white spot, never ever noticed anything white floating around tank!
  18. WOW...what a set up...amazing, Amazonian The colors of those fish were beautiful, especially the blue  I think it was a siamese fighter? An the gouramis, wow Caryl, quite a few of those fish posed quite well for you, did you have to bribe them   Awesome job on the pics
  19. I think their ok, the filter is bigger on this tank than my other 29 gallon. It has the...ah...thing-a-ma-jig...to control the flow. But I don't know if I shoud touch that or not. The only thing I've noticed different since I took the airstone out is that they are going down the other end more, so I'm thinking it was a tad too much movement, do you think? I know if the fishies are gasping at the top, it's a sign they're not getting enough oxygen, but what if they just hang around up there? Does it mean the same?
  20. Hi Do you have tanks of your own? If so, how many? What kind of fishies? Fish tanks? Tank Man can you post some pics? Take care, Caper

    Just curious!

I called the people...but it was too late...fishies are gone to heaven! The man was truly upset when I told him what could have been done, in this case I would have offered to take his tank & care for his fishies till they could get their home straigthened out. There is no power to the home. He had asked friends to take them (to place in their tanks) and they were too scared their fish would get sick. From what he said and what my coworkers said, he didn't want to kill his fish but didn't think he had any other choice With no power in the house, and no place to put his beloved fish, he did what he thought he had to do. I feel bad for the fish but I also feel really bad for him, I believe he thought he had no other choice.
  22. Bill, my heaters aren't fully submersible! Can't even buy them here
  23. Congrats Pixiejanet...a 4' tank...that is grrrrreat :bounce: :bounce: Oh by the way Bill, I removed the airstone from the tank with my barbs & red eyes, the barbs are going down the other end of tank more often now!
  24. Very nice tank....love the plants SpidersWeb: Jude:
