  1. Oh I'm sorry SpidersWeb...wish I could help
  2. Thanks Jude...oh, is the week of the big fishy conference?
  3. Just to have a tank that size...WOW Since I've started with the barbs, lost, ummm...maybe 5 all together , I'm always trying to count the tigers, but the little buggers will not cooperate, do you think I should put them in front of the TV to watch Sesame Street! They sure get to the front of the tank in hurry when they see me coming, so I don't think it's a problem other than I like when they go everywhere, more fun to watch. They do go to other areas of the tank but where they seemed to "hang out" more down the end of the heater I was wondering if that had anything to do with it. Before I fed them tonight, I even put my hand in both ends to see if I could tell 1) if much difference in temp, didn't appear to be and 2) to see if I could tell if the airstone & the filter were causing too much...ah...movement?, but again, nothing that was obvious anyway! Thanks Jude and...oh...let us know when you get the 20' tank  :bounce: You should just turn that interest into reality
  4. How's the fishy? Does she still have the "pimple"? Wish I could help
  5. How's your water parameters? Did you buy the all the platties at the same time? Did a google but didn't come up with much re: bent spine, other than tb and just "malformed" (ah, darn wrong word) fish. I'm sure you'll get more insight from others though...sorry couldn't help
  6. It is always recommended to treat a few days after the last of the spots are seen on the fishies. It is after they leave the fishies bodies that the med kill them. Hope everything goes well! When I had my very first fishies, my goldfish got Ick, luckily it wasn't too bad and only affected him. This time, WOW...my poor neons...how any survived, I just don't know :-?
  7. Hope everything goes well SpidersWeb...keep us updated!

    kind of new

Hi tesha Look forward to seeing pics of your fishies :bounce: Take care & have fun here, Caper Caryl, will it be...one for them, one for me...one for them, two for me....one for them, three for me     Any idea yet as to what they will be getting? What size tank?
  15. Any chance of getting a pic Tsarmina?
  16. My poor fishies just got over the worst outbreak of Ick I lost 3 of my neons. I thought I would loose more because they were a mess, even to the point that that their fins were ragged and disappearing. The treatment that I use states that you don't have to increase the water temp so I did follow the directions. I really thought I'd loose all my neons, to look at them...I thought they were all goners Anyway, they are doing much much better, fins are coming back too I was keeping my tank temp at about 74 now I have increased it to about 76.
  17. How's your fishy doing? Was it just the stress of the move?
  18. I'm too sure I want to know...but here goes...toys????

    jag cichlids

I just did a google so I could see a pic of a jag cichlid, one pic, not that pretty, but another the fishy was beautiful. Then I read a bit about them...OUCH...rough little critters... or should I say "big" critters since they can get huge
  20. Nope, not at all...it...is...a...fact... MTS has struck again
  21. Since I don't have real plants, what would cause plants to do this? That's my understanding as well, it's the surface movement that results with...a...shoot...don't know how to say it correctly...so, to put it simply, more surface movement, more oxygenation, oh gosh, wise fishy people explain better please
  22. Sorry for your losses Good that you moved your angel as for the most part (all though some people have neons & angels together) they do seem to enjoy neons for snack. I'm so sorry about the fishy, but that is so funny how you put it    I'd love to try rams but cannot get them here, but that could be a good thing since I don't have room for another tank

    Newbe to site

Gee, Mustcooktea, I didn't realize you didn't have any tanks of your "own" yet. That is an outrage....hmmmmmmm....who do we call? Write letters to? Place ads in the newspapers? etc., etc., etc. And you are such any expert on taking care of fishies
