  1. Green tipped hammer coral for sale. 4 heads on the one branch in the red circle in the picture $80 pickup Lower Hutt or I can meet you in Wellington CBD during the working week.
  2. The auto body shop on High Street, Lower Hutt, can't remember the name right now. Go past Pak n Save towards Maccas, it's in the middle. Fibre glass is great for building stuff but can be very messy too. Plan what you are going to do, and don't mix too large an amount at a time as it hardens quite fast.
  3. On the plus side, tax cuts tomorrow
  4. I don't think it's their teeth, cause dwarf puffers sneek up on snails and suck them out of the shells then they move on. My GSP on the other hand eats snails shell and everything inside.
  5. My fish got xrayed, not issues with the fish, guess I can wait and hope they breed to see if the babies come out mutant
  6. I took some puffer fish carryon from Chch to Wgtn via jetstar or pacific blue (can't remember which one) and that was ok. They even went through the xray, I wasn't thinking when I put my bag on the conveyer.
  7. Shrimp are also very sensitive to water conditions, being such a small tank chemical swings can be huge.
  8. I believe the downstairs room is a rumpus. The garage under the house, on a hill so the garage is skinner than the house ontop. My thinking is use the tiny 2m x 2m study(prison cells in bangkok are bigger, not that I know) as the place to put in the staircase. This area is above the dirt void under the house (what is this place called), but next to the tandem garage, so through a floor in through the garage wall. | | House |______________________ Bugs | void | Stuff | Garage Dirt |____________ ^ Stairs here PS this process is like buying a car
  9. thanks for all the info. Will make an offer(mrs has decided to torture me, vegetarian until i break and make some sort of offer), will just factor the potential cost into the offer and a few conditions around inspections. I know I can cook for myself, but my cooking is worse than vegetarian food
  10. I noticed that there are many hidden talends on this board so I thought I would ask. The Mrs has found the house of her dreams, I like it too but.... there isn't internal access to the garage and the 3rd bedroom. I hate getting wet getting to a car. I was wondering how much would it cost to cut a hole in the floor and put in a stair case that is sort of square U shape(see diagram below)? I know it's hard to estimate without seeing the place but I was wondering are we talking a couple of thousand? $10's of thousands. She really wants the place but I don't feel that the third bedroom counts unless I can get to it without going outside, so she sees it as a 3 bedroom house, I see it as a 2 bedroom house = issues with deciding what it's worth and me possibly in the dog box until she finds something else to focus on. ______________ | |_|_|_|_|_|_| | |___________ |__|_|_|_|_|_|_| Explaination : go down, turn left, turn left again and go down
  11. I've heard that exclusive use of RO water can upset the isotonic balance of fish as RO water is very pure and has had all minerals, salts etc stripped out of it.

Worse that could happen is she takes half of your fishfood  What about those little packets of silicon that they put into pills etc to keep dry?
  13. They're also very hard to catch, if you consider putting one into your tank, consider it a permanent addition. Whatever you do, do not get a black and white striped damsel aka humbug damsel. Even more of a PITA, heaps of people get them because it was cheap or given to them, there is a reason for that.
  14. Blue damsels are quite bossy, mine used to chase my clowns around in my 3 foot tank. He's gone now.

Sorry, wan't paying attention to the pictures
  16. Lost my breeders to heater failure, have a few fry from breeders and culls from past breedings

If you put your overflows at the bottom, I would put a riser pipe on them. You don't want all the tanks draining in a power cut.
  18. They belong to a larger network of computer systems build for defence, called Skynet, built by Cyberdyne Systems for the United States Armed Forces. It is the first decent attempt at artificial intellengence, I think it'll be the greatest thing to happen to human kind.
  19. I have to agree with A-town, still far from being full red, and even further away from being called a fancy guppy. I wouldn't even call them red more a dark orange, but the goal is to some day get it to full red.
  20. Don't crays scream when you boil them alive?
  21. Swimming pools are made of concrete and tile, so guess tanks can be too
  22. I was in a chemist waiting for my prescription and they thought I was stealing stuff I get bored waiting for things so do stupid thinks like hide from the gf, apparently that looks like I'm trying to hide from security.
  23. Sorry about the copyright, I've had a bad experience a couple weeks ago. Not quite where I want to be, body colour isn't as intense as the tail, but its more red compared with the blonde and orange stock I started with. Found this pic from a post I made a few years ago

I've read that at a young age they will survive being introduced to saltwater 1.020sg and given enough time will even reproduce. I found this little fact in a manual for breeding marine cardinals and using guppies as live food.
