oops ....yea there are 2 thermometers AND a hydrometer in the pics. We were trying to get a beter idea of the actual temp in tank at the time. were getting varied readings cause i think one of the thermometers is a dud :roll:

I dunno! hubby split it! i don't know what he did.... the frags are just plonked in the tank. not attached to anything.

$40 for a little frag. We spilt it in 2 pieces. Didn't think it was too bad.

The red colour is not the best thing to go on. The real give away is the shape of the anal fin. Girls are square and males are rounded. the hint of a black spot behind the gill plates on the males is a good indicator that they are in the *mood* Your photo up there is really good for showing the difference between the girls and boys!

for the tank crashes - i know how much they suk!! for the fact that there are still some out there. I hope u are keepin close tabs on them!?

Can one of you wonderful beardie owners (or all of u!) have a go taking a clear, full shot of your beardie? Must be looking directly down at the critter and even better if all 4 legs are clearly defined. I have combed through pages of photos off the net but i am not happy with anything i have seen yet. I was asked a long while ago if i could do a beardie in the same style as these pics... and *finally* i am in the mood and right mind to get stuck into it!

I registed my breeding of silver dollars as Metynnis Argenteus. Bottom fish is a male, top fish is female

Stunning algae blooms (check out the flouro green!!) A few tiny tubeworms and bristleworms? is all that we have in there. Totally busting to get some corals and fish etc in there (Frag donations anyone?? ) All tests coming up perfect so far too.

Next meeting will be on Saturday 4th April at Donnas home Meeting will be from 5pm onwards. Bring a plate for a shared dinner. We will also hold a bottle auction to raise a few $$ for the Pet expo in August. All this requires is that you bring a bottle (or more than 1 if you desire) and fill it with something. Let your imagination go totally crazy with this one. wrap the bottle so that the contents are hidden and we will auction them off at the meeting. Plan a bit of a budget on what you will be willing to bid. Should be a fun night discovering what everyone comes up with! Now that you have finish reading this post you can go and mark the date down on your calendar!!! :lol:
