will they eat and survive and grow, ever slowly in temps of 19 to 22c?

my red is hesitant on live locusts. i have never encountered this. it will attack shrimp, fd shrimp, goldfish and mealworms so far. but locusts, it is hesitant. anyone encountered this from an arowana before? really weird, its almost like it has to be very hungry to take the locusts, while in the past, the aros will eat locusts as a desert food lol they are full but will still take locusts.

massivore is slightly different to sinking carnivore according to hikari themselves. massivore is a steop above in terms of growth - there are a few ingredients i am told that makes massivore a faster pumper than a sinking carnivore. but sinking carnivore is designed for smaller mouths. just break massivore, and leave in the tank, when it softens they will eat it. Hikari floating sticks, massivore are my two choices

i dont stuff the prawn heads, i give those to clowns and TT eel. not much meat on thema nd the aro crushes it and just dissolves lol i just use the body part of the prawn. but yeas, i remove the entire tip of the face.

wednesday, i fed brutus heavily. full feed, shrimp, locusts, fd shrimp and mealworms, goldfish, massive feed. fasted yesterday for the 1 a week fast day. today, appetite has increased, aggressionin feding increased. comes up to tank, attacks my finger and today thsi rmoning ate almost 50% more shrimp than normal! i dose with seachem nourish every other day.

I found silica was good, they loved the consistency andplayed around on it lots. anything fine is good IME

weird, 2 males to 1 fem? usually its the other way aint it? Daval,are you in auckland? would shout you a nice pizza meal if you helpme choose male and fem lol

i assume i look for the stars on the gills and fin right? how many fem/male should i get in total ui dont want a big operatiosn just a few babies to ensure i have a constant supply of feeders

what are breeding mops, also, if i got o hff and get their large shub, is that big enough tob reed? what length of fish can breed - minus tail? i may give it a go. just a couple of tubs

well i only need what i need, dont wanan sell or anything. just for my own use. so i can get a tub of water, put it outside over the year, and they will breed themselves? will they eat each others babies?

wait a minute sounds too simple. so i get large shubs - how do i know male or female? and i ut them together and they jsut breed? how often do they breed?

how easy is it to breed fantails or goldfish, those things called shubunkins coments etc. i dont want a huge operation, merely a self sustaining programme like my locusts as live food. can someonegive me a brief help on how to breed gold fish in a tank? can i do it in a tank? a big tank

I may have just purchased 140 Goldfish. How do i quarantine them to ensure they have no bugs. i put them in my holding tank, what do i put in the water to treat them?

it wasnt like that to begin wiht, just getting its appetite back. but yeah, i make a rule though, nothing else unless he eats prawns in the morning. if he doesnt, nothing else for the rest of the day but prawns. yeah, today i saw a moth sit on the glass, it was tryign to eat it through the glass lol hilarious.

funny, if fish actually identify their owner. never tried having my friend come up and see if they come close lol it hink its just they know its feeding time. its starting to. last 3 days were mroe apparently, i believe its settling in. its also attacking locusts more readily. whcih is funny cos live food liek that is usually their fav, but didnt attack it and keeps swimming under it. what if ound was when the locst starts to climb the over flow or branch sticking out of water, they jump to grab it more readily than when just floating,. in my reds case anyway. but yeah, today, had 2 to 3 locusts, a whole shrimp with massivore, gold fish and a good amount of mealworms:D

i agree, massivore is insane! you can get yours to that im sure though that green is one old beast!
