  1. not getting one, considering, to have more scanvengers at the bottom of the tank lol. what can scavenge leftover food, disturb the floor but not dig up plants? a riddle indeed! my pleco does a good job, its small and think its stunted and its albino, hasnt really grown much. doesnt go tot he plants and just suckso n wood and left over pellets. clown loaches, i have 5 smallish ones, they do ok, but want another to ensure full cleaning. maybe something nocturnal.
  2. will a black aro eat a royal whiptail? opinions?
  3. its ok i dont plan on cultivating them lol maybe one day.
  4. yeah, i know, the egg laying is just the easiest im sure every one always says baby discus is frustrating. no desire to breed fish! just keep them for now. one day maybe
  5. yeah, was tempted. but really, is it easy selling baby discus? i have 2 spare tanks that i could raise them in. i jus tlike watching fish eat!
  6. thats ok, just curious where you would get them here
  7. oh no i was jsut shcoked, im not trying to breed them. the eggs wont hatch i read that they will just eat it. i dont think the babies will hatch at all. not even sure if its fertilised properly? just shocked it layed eggs! so not a discus breeder lol but interesting to see albino genes with white butterfly though if i had a spare tank to breed them!
  8. i moved my discus into the big tank only yesterday evening, today, the white butterfly has spawned! looks like it paired up with the big albino male! ic ant belive it lol i thought it was acting weird, chasing fish away, and cleaning wood. but i thought no way it would spawn! but it has! hundreds of red little caviar eggs lol and its fanning them and stuff, not sure if fertile and if the albino male can actually fertilise it. but hey, funny one though.
  9. some commented that giant flora strains are huge. but never seen them forsale anyone help?

  12. sure, come see the tank even before hand! i would give you locust too but when i went away, half died!
  13. cos its too annoying to fill the bottom of the tank wtih a thick layer of substrate. this way the plants can grow in the pots trialling it, looks ok, but i have seachem fluorite in them. growth is fast. 1 day, the flower buds of the large swords has grown 1 inch lol hope it roots up and holds on the gravel in the pots. discus eating already after 30 mins of introduction. what i did was decrease the grow out tank by 50% and put water form the two big tanks in there. then decreased it by 50% again and refilled it again through out the day lol acclimatised the entire tank
  14. when i get the big discus ill post them asap... the internal is opposite side of the tank. i would put a fluval 404 but no space at the bottom of the tank stand for one. internal picks up alot. the particulates sometimes settle on the way to the in let by the over flow. so this adds waterflow and sucks up what it can. works well. clarify is good WHEN all filters are clean. 3 fx5 rocks!
