  1. Danio Choprae = Glowlight Danio a beautiful fish , not a cross but its own species , i've bred them myself
  2. I have got my long finned red eyed golden bristlenose breeding My problem is, are they L144’s or normal bristlenose just albinos are they another species e.g. L145? Or something else ? Not sure what I’ll register them as? Any ideas? All I know is I’m rapped and they are stunning fish 8) Thanks

  7. Update on this pair : I was just doing my rounds and found them with a nice bunch of eggs !! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: they had kicked out about 15 -20 eggs so i've removed them to a pot with meth blue and an air stone and left them with the rest . !! awesome !
  8. according to its stats , its good up to 300L if you have to thats 600L and you have a 500L tanks , seems its output is enough but like the others i don't know this brand. BTW Yes that sort of link to trademe is fine

  10. 1, a veriaty in the diet is always a plus , some greens , pleco chips , blood worms is a good for them to. 2, Yes still vacuum the gravel it gets full of waste ( putting it politely ) too 3, they are fine to trat with malafix, they have "armour" rather than normal scales , without going into great details its things like clown loaches you need to be careful about treating.   17. i got the mess from Mico metels in petone but would think other places would have the same or similar

  19. for egg scatters the eggs fall right through for liver bears the fry swimm through and the parents can't get them...works very well
  20. I make my own for breeding , that way i can give the fish a LOT more room , give it a go its fun and the fish will love you for it , the ones you buy are ok for growing fry for the first week or two thats about it.

  22. i've had them up to that size but seen them much bigger around the 18cm maybe
  23. and for all the fish you breed localy thats less that need to be cought in the wide to meet demand hence the species has a better chance of surviving, eg the resent over collecting of what was then known as Galaxey rasbora. 8)
  24. hoplos get quite large a 3 foot i would have thought would have been the very minimum for one of those :-?
