Just thought I would share some pics of one of my G.A snail (experimenting taking photos)

I have caught similar buggy things in a near by pond....and I thought they were dragonfly larvae

How fat do platties get?.....I can't really tell if my 2 females have gravid spots or if it just their colouring....but boy are the Fat errrrrrrr chubby LOL

There is 1 lonely albino cory, some little plecos, a 3 platties, who can be moved to another tank. The auction is for 8 of the babies.....I was planning on selling the ones I don't like as much

Very good idea....I have been trying to get java moss to grow on top....but it hasn't been successful as yet :roll: I have a tunnel set up under the ledge at the moment.....would be open to suggestion on how to make a cave of sorts

he/she is about 40mm in body....then the fins ets on that. The tank is a 3ft

Third time trying to post this....so here goes!!! (having problems...keeps say that internet exploring has encountered a problem then shuts down the page Grrrrrrrrrrrr) I have removed the ramp part....but unable to remove the platform part....it's just to darn stuck!!!! Ran out of time and cut my thumb :oops: , so will try again another time. Thanks for all you help people.

I have 1 med size angel....his little friend died soon after I got him Anyways....I'm thinking about getting more :lol: Do you think this one will be alright if some little ones are put in with him...they are meant to have the body size of a 20c piece....so pretty tiny! There are 8 of them in the auction....(I was thinking of growing them on a bit and selling the ones I don't want.) I tried taking some pics of him/her.....as I have found it hard to determine it's sex....with none to compare it to. Will it matter if it's a male or female....in regards to accepting the new little angels (if I win the auction that is LOL) Thanks in advance. Posing side on A tail shot LOL (is that end bit normal?) Getting all his "bits" in is hard LOL

OK....the fry went to the hungry angel 8) and the turtle thought the female were just awesome . I rang the lady and asked if she got the fish from the river or a shop.....she said shop! I told her she had better report them for selling Gambusia as female guppies! And that they were liable for a huge fine and possibly even Jail time.......that got her going . She got all flustered and said that she wasn't sure if they were the ones she got from the "shop" and that her son sometimes catches what she thought were guppies....(what a Fibber she is LMAO) So I told her that it is illegal to give, buy, donate, or any other such thing with these fish. She said she would flush the fish down the loo....I said no and to make sure that they are dead....she is posting my money back to me too. It's been a learning experience for sure! Thanks for all you help people!

Thanks guys I should have put this in the DIY section :oops: I will give it a go today.....the turtles got way too big for the tank.....then I had an empty tank sitting there.....hence my new found love of tropical fish LOL I was originally going to try to grow java moss on the ramp to cover it....but it just looks ugly sitting there, so will try to remove it. Thanks again!

My 3ft tank have a turtle ramp in it......is there any way to remove it? It is siliconed in pretty well :-? unfortunately!

Well....the said "female Guppies" are now banned from my guppie tank...they had been pretty shy up until this afternoon. They have been chasing and nipping at the others....even ganging up on my fav large female....so have put them in a holding tank untill I decide what to do with them. Apparently the ladys son, goes down to the creek and gets fish for the tank? (not sure if this is true or not but not going to risk my fish!). I only gave the lady $5 for the 3 fish.....might try and give them back and see what she says LOL!

Here are some more pics taken today, I put them in with my other guppies so I could try to get some group shots...they are very shy These female have a much smaller tail...with no colouring. The topline of their bodies are a different shape to my 2 other females aswell. These are gambusia....what do ya think?

Welcome.....I have a small native fresh water tank setup....hoping to learn more about it, so I can improve I have a few crans bullies in there at the moment....a cool little fish, and they adapted to their new home very fast indeed....even knowing I am the food lady :lol:

Tried to take some pics...but as usual they came out really bad LOL Oh.....this one has just had about 20 babies saw some of them being born.....totally cool....even if they do turn out to be the pest fish (Angelfood?)

I just went with a neighour to visit her friend.....apparently she had some great looking guppies and some wild-type females she was wanting to sell. The "great" looking guppies were not that great :roll: , so bypassed them to take a look at her "wild-type" guppies.....I think she may actually have Gambusia? She said she got them from a shop up north somewhere (couldn't remember exactly where :roll: ) I got a few off her, so I could try to figure out exactly what they are....if the are Gambusia, they will be going in with the turtles!!! This lady said that they have bred with her "fancy" male guppy before....would that be possible? All of these fish had Gravid spots....could not spot one without a gravid spot....so I'm guessing that they are all females? I'll try to tank a picture shortly
