Subtotal: $14.99 Standard Shipping: $6.95 Taxes: $0.00 Total: $21.94 (is this nz$$?) Tim
  12. I dont think it is no,but thats good then diver jhn!!;i use carbon in one of our filters and it seems to do a good job..... umm.... alan, it is one of the earlier models of diatom,it is like a jar with a motor on top, we have one to try out(a bag) to see if it fits, but still, spares wld be great! a bit off the topic,but....what kind of puffers do you have opius?salt?brackish?fresh?name?.ect.. cheers Tim
  13. hi opius. diatom filters are realy good!!!, because they filter out micron size particles, that also means that they can filter out white spot! which is great! im looking for a bag for one atm if anybody has one,or knows where i can get one cheers newtz

  23. yea y is that?? u cant really tell from the pic wether they are male and female....but they could be a pair...cldnt they? :-? Newt
  24. i did a course at splash gordon in island bay, they are a padi outfit...i did 4 dives there and a couple in fiji,+ i hope to do a bit more when i start earning enough lol... as for cost...i cant remember what it was for me, cos my parents paid at the time... oh... and yes i do have a marine tank if you count local coldwater but will soon be going tropical **yay!!!!** Newt
  25. hey caper, you can get quite alot of plecos, bristlenoses, and flying foxes...which all will eat algae, but they should all eat food if it can get to them however...crumble,pelets..ect.(spiralina disks are a fav for the plecs an bn's). so no need to wory abt them running out of food and yea, most plecs and bn's go great with other fish, not sure abt the flying foxes tho....the only other thing to worry abt i can think of is that some plecos can get quite big but not all of them, there are some realy nice dwarf plecs out there Newt
