I try and tend to put mine at a 45 degree angle at one end of tank,then put an air stone under it,so it cause's a current passed the heating eliment,thus giveing an even heat ditrubution.This also can be done with a power head of some kind. Tim

The tank is 60x15x26,the fish in pic 8 is a siamese tigerfish(Datnioides microlepis)its stripes have not developed as yet. the tiger fish are no longer in the tank,the other tank mates in this tank are--- columbian wild oscar channa melasoma 2x four lined catfish 2x striped talking catfish Tim
