I wouldn't place bio balls in the overflow. I have fixed quite a few tanks that have had this done to them. They just trap crap, and no one ever cleans in there. Try filling it and then cleaning, its not easy. I would just put your filter material in the sump where you can get to it easy. If it is saltwater there is not need for any filter balls etc in the sump.

Yip, no worries with support. I would cut the hole about 10mm larger than the fitting.

Yip they are used to cut stuff, you just need to put a cutting disc on, the are much thinner than the grinding discs.

Hane a look at the blonde naso's, they are quite cool. or just get a standard naso and run blue lights

boil the mussels and take most of the meat out, then put a drop of supa glue on the end and close them back up

I think it is just under atinic lighting, never ever seen a blue naso

I have found they can do this with stress. Maybe put it back where it was.

The cost of the reactor seems reall cheap? what sort is it? same with the media? what type.

We are both in the NW zone but may draw our water from different wells. I used DI for a while ther and did notice some good results, at the time i was changing a few things so i can't say for sure if it was just the DI. It did make a difference but how much i am not sure. If i had the money i would get a good unit, one that i wouldn't have to wait a few days to fill a drum

As far as i am aware it is here now. Costs a bit more and comes in 7kg (about 59) and 22kg (about 140.00)[

may be why there is a set time each year that you are able to catch them. the amount we catch is quite small compared to what comes up our rivers.

Yip i have been reading. Somethings not right though a. So why add more stock to a tank thats not quite right. I thought the problem was with all the corals not just acros???
