  1. Levamisole is the active ingredient in "levicare" a sheep or pig wormer. You buy it in a 4% solution. Most rural or large animal vets will have it. If it is external you can use copper or negavon or curex (if you can still find it)
  2. most fish in the ocean have worms or something when they arrive. The shrimps would not have given it to them. I have used levamisole. Soak some dried shrimps or nori etc in it and feed to them twice over three days.

    high nitrates

go bb you can feed heaps and get very little nitrate
  12. i would not use ph down or anything like that. A good way of doing it is using drift wood in your tank. You can also get the ph down by adding peat, also makes the water very soft.

    Anemone doctor

yeah, sounds like the same story as the baby clams. problem may be, with an adult, is that they can't take in any zooanthelle, they have to do it as babys. You may find quite a few corals do this, well ones that are produced due to spawning, not asexual or division
  14. nice job, see if you can find those bright colored anemones, they look sweet, as nice as the tropical ones to. also baby paua, sea urchins.

    Anemone doctor

spose it would work if, as layton said the anemone wanted it to happen, you would also have to put each zooanthelle into a certain spot in the anemone which i think would be hard Trying to find the article on the acros can't find where i put it.

There may be some truth in it, however i am not in a position to confirm this. There have also have been reports of bleached sps changing color completly with the introduction of zooanthelle, allthough this is very very rare I have read i clam propogation, in closed systems, there is a need to introduce zooanthelle to the baby clams as they are not able to produce them by themselves. I think it was boreman or a. calfo that mentioned it.
  17. I assume you are talking about the eheim filters. If so, when the heater blows up you need to replace the whole canister, less media and lid etc.
  18. also you don't tend to find second hand ones either, eheim pumps etc you do
  19. i find dosing pumps much easier to use than a Ca reactor, i would never go back to a reactor
