  1. some of the nicest fish ive seen, just missing julidochromis marlieri
  2. The value of the fish is often up to the buyer. These are auctions, no ones being forced to bid, i have been watching this guy for a while and i don't think he's sold any. When i was 13 i sold them to the pet store for $1.50 ea
  3. Yeah they were all snatched up apparently, kinda annoying. Hollywoods will reserve me some next time
  4. Unfortunately hollywoods usually ends up being better than the local, i have e-mailed them about it.
  5. What kelvin rating are the bulbs on your fishtank?
  6. Gonna try this: 8 bananas 1/4 cup sugar rolled oats (oatmeal) 1 packet bakers yeast Put banana and sugar in blender and mix until the banana is liquified. Mix in oatmeal until it becomes firm, but still moist. Put mixture in wide mouth quart canning jars. Add a few granules of bakers yeast to the surface and add about 30 fruit flies. Cap the jars with a paper towel folded in fourths held on with a rubber band. Substitution with other types of fruit also works. Variation, use the following ingredients: 1 cup banana (about 2 bananas) 1 cup apple sauce 1 Tablespoon vinegar 2 cups oat meal
  7. Thanks dude, appreciate that, complex amount of stuff needed, was hoping it was simple. Feeding fish but mainly frogs.
  8. So I ordered some wingless fruitlfys from hollywoods and now i want to culture them, anyone have any successful methods other than what ive already read online? Also i have no idea where to buy the mesh for the top of the lids and am currently trying a oats medium similar to microworms.
  9. I feel your pain, can't get rid of dragonfly larvae! they eat fry and look demonic
  10. Lol.. what? arnt you like a teenage boy? I think you'll find the time period you've been born into is unique in the fact that we will most likely see a lot of change and new understandings of everything and the relationships between them, plenty of time yet mate, don't you worry about that  .
  11. God was basically just a space human, his spectrum of emotion was exactly the same as ours, life started cause he got lonely and then slowly through a course of events he decided somewhere down the track that we were good for a time but he's to angry now and we can't reason with him, (like most space humans) so he's gonna kills us and judge us all (in that order) and in this sense we've traveled the full emotional spectrum with God. I'm sure after another few millennia of loneliness after we are all gone he will just start again, perhaps humans 2.0? he may actually completely scrap that model and start again, even though he's God he still made some mistakes and i'm sure he's figured out where the improvements need to be. If i was him i would seriously consider cybertron just with a few tweaks and maybe not make the decepticons.
  12. and that's the right attitude, when you consider the ramifications of either process both turn out to be miraculous, so counting on that i think its safe to assume we should look at our chance at life as the biggest gift and be thankful for it and not waste and squander the human potential of it all.
  13. What asteroid? No, im simply saying its awesome. We have no idea how we got here or how everything started yet, other to cover it with, God did it, or a super massive condensed big explosion did it.
  14. Its thought that at one point the earth was almost entirely covered in 2 different species of algae, one was purple and one was green, what made the green algae unique was its photosynthetic abilities and consequently it became the dominant species, but everything started from there, scientists like to consider the evolutionary process of the plant had the purple algae been dominant. Safe to say we wouldn't be human though.
  15. Physics says that until we can equate what infinity requires we must look at it as if it is its own number with its own set of laws. The earth didn't just "happen" to be in the right place at the right time. About 4.5 billion to 5 billion years ago the earth was a lot hotter, had very little if any atmosphere and was spinning a lot faster. A normal day is presumed to be around 3-4 hours at this point. We know now through isotopic analysis that the moon was once part of the earth, its still widely thought that the planet had a collision with another planet called "Theia", the reason that is now being discouraged as common understanding in the science community is because, had the moon been created from a collision we would have found foreign isotopic entities on it. Around 4 billion years ago, due to pressures, heat and the speed at which the planet was revolving, a chunk or series of, literally broke up and where caught in the earths gravitational base. These eventually collided together to become the moon, immediately tidally locked to the planet (meaning you only ever see one face of a moon). This created the right circumstance and interaction between the sun moon and earth that caused it to slow. About 200 million years down the track we have atmosphere and our first forms of life.
  16. nuclear fission is actually very interesting, there is a sort of natural anti-nuclear reaction humanity has because of what the word "nuclear" has traditionally stood for and been associated with to - negative light. As our understanding of it and the way we use it and harness it has continued to grow so has are ability to use it as a resource fairly safely. And to claim that its just unnatural and shouldn't be done, you only need to take a look at the universe and our physiology, which is continually exposed to these elements and their effects to see that its a fundamental part of life. I'm not advocating it, i still don't want it in this country, but it'd be better than the damage we've done to innocent aquatic life and the creatures that extend from that. I don't mind humanity hurting itself occasionally but it shouldn't be at the cost of species that may never exist in this universe again.
  17. This will help you understand http://i.imgur.com/ECYAo.png and then this, if you can wrap your head around it will make you lol http://www.reddit.com/r/fifthworldproblems/comments/120kai/considering_gender_reassignment_surgery_which_of/ Transhumanism is very real. And is quite a neat way of looking at progress.
  18. stop making fun of dyslexics! everyone knows dog is real, he just works in mysterious ways. Should we progress to transhumanizm?
