  8. i want a branching coral that the wrasse can swim through and the best example of that i've seen is the staghorn, it should add some depth to the tank as well
  9. im sure it was water movement not temp cause the ambient was about 24

ciao im wanting an sps (or two) that get realy good verticle growth and from what i've seen a staghorn seems to be the way to go?? or do they branch out and then up or is it all relative to conditions (light/current)???? any suggestions would be great

    Malawi survey

well mine will be 210l with one family of yellows and a family of Ps. Zebra's (a family being one male and three females) i will then add another family of another type but i still havent decided
  13. ive seen the "sweepers" as a sinularia i has fell down next to it and it sent out its stringy whites to digest it, freaky stuff. its just the polyps. by the way chimera cool shots, cant wait for another update
  14. 55 is a good price, the trouble with "ordering" in a fish is that its a bit more involved due to availability of specific fish
  15. chimera and steve do your polyps extend longer than that???? just curious cause mine are almost always out about 7mm im starting to think it might be a bad thing
  16. i would have some form of physical filtration (filter wool/pad) before it reaches the bio balls
  17. i need to see if my phosphate kit does fresh water :-?
  18. the tank is nearing heavily planted stage, i think its more of a teething problem as the tank is still relatively new, my wife likes it cause it looks like a forest, (unlike her swamp) it has slowed in growth, i think ill try shortening the photoperiod a little. just till its over the hump
  19. the four foot tank i setup about a month ago has got some nasty green algae covering everything, anyone have some suggestions about what i can do???
  20. stink pink skunk clowns are very nice, my brother had one but it was very small and didnt do well in the transfer into his tank
  21. here it is, its doing well so far, should start colouring up a little soon and we'll see the final colour
  22. mushrooms dont require alot of light, so in most tanks you can have them, another great thing is that they are not very fussy when it comes to water quality so they make an excellent begginer "coral" and i think they look cool, (i wouldnt mind a mushroom tank)
