not much point in mixing floro and halide though just make sence to get big halides 250w or 150w (cost of bulbs is roughly the same)

Mh are good fresh water people dont use them much in NZ i have a 70 watter lying around if you want it, the advantage is the number of bulbs that need replacing is lower 150w bulb as opposed to 4 flouro bulbs they are supposed to work out more effective re electricity usage vs actual light output if i ever setup a big fresh water tank i think id go Mh

iff your worried just swap the boxer for another cleaner cleaners are lots of fun and not shy at all as pies said hes had all three, your tanks not as big and so they would run across each other more often = more chance for lunch

i have purchased about 5 containers of this stuff from the LFS its about 6cm tall looks like lawn grass in a fish tank Brian at the gold fish bowl said it was a native but i failed to catch the name (he spouted out the scientific name) its a great little plant the first to pots i put in are starting to grow out (despite battling some nasty algae) and i just recently got some more ill take some picks of it, i will look stunning when it forms a lawn in the tank

My wife loves electric yellows, and so Ive decided to setup a malawi tank for her i was just after some advise before doing anything first of all a cant imagine a malawi setup been heavily planted???? substrate would be crushed coral and sand some kind of rock background with some wood here and there with the feature of the tank been the fish themselves what size would you all reccomend?

i wouldnt worry about the noise as they are usually quite, i would look at a cannister filter as well

ive noticed most of the pumps that ive used have started making noise after a while, worst one was the small viaaqua on my brothers skimmer

they are very tricky to raise caryl, :-? its a shame because they are soooo cool when they are little. there are a few of us that are going to try raising them but we are still sorting out the baby food

I love your clowns colouring, it took me along time to find a mate for mine that is similiar in colouring to its pair. Out of curiousity how large are the female and the male that spawned (its hard to tell from the pics exactly)
